BTS’ J-Hope at MAMA 2022: “Feel Very Nervous, I Should Have the Members Beside Me”

J-Hope, BTS’s main dancer and rapper, arrived at the MAMA Awards 2022 as a solo artist. Earlier this year, he debuted as his solo album, embarking on his journey of a solo career. The MAMA Awards 2022 Chapter 2 started earlier this evening in Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan and was Organized by CJ E&M and broadcast via the music channel Mnet.

In the red carpet interview, J-Hope expressed how nervous he was about being alone without the rest of the members. The boy group of seven were always seen together at every event; this might be one of the first times that only one member attended a very important award show. He said he wished the members were beside him on the red carpet.

The solo artist looked stunning in a black suit with slick back hair and shades on. He won the ‘bibigo Culture and Style Award’ at the MAMA Awards 2022. He has also been nominated for various other important categories.

BTS is one of the most successful and popular boy bands on the planet. They rose to popularity with their unique songs and the intricate choreography they included in their routine. K-pop became a mainstream genre of music following BTS’ rise to fame. The members of the group apart from J-Hope are RM, Jungkook, Jimin, V, Suga and Jin.

The singer-rapper released a solo album called Jack In The Box on July 15, 2022, following the pre-release of the single More on July 1, 2022. The album was a huge success in terms of both sales and charts. He has also been nominated for various awards, including the Best Male Artist and Artist Of Th Year in MAMA Awards 2022. The artist also delivered a stellar performance earlier this evening in the award ceremony.

J-Hope made his performance debut at Lollapalooza on July 31, 2022, as the headlining act for the final day of the festival. He is the first South Korean artist to headline the main stage at a major United States music festival. In September, J-Hope was featured on the single “Rush Hour” by Crush.
