Bruce Willis Retires From Acting Due to Health Issues, Family Shares a Statement

Bruce Willis made his acting debut in the 80s. He is known greatly for action films like Die Hard, Armageddon, The Last Boy Scout, Pulp Fiction, The Sixth Sense, Glass, Unbreakable and more. The 67-year-old actor is now retiring from acting due to health issues. His family shared the news with everyone on social media.

Bruce’s daughter Rumer Willis revealed that Bruce has decided to step away from his acting career. Her statement read, “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”

“This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him,” the statement by Bruce Willis’ daughter further mentioned.

On social media, fans have shared their wishes and love for Bruce Willis. One person tweeted, “#BruceWillis’ family has announced the actor is retiring from the profession after being diagnosed with aphasia.Thank you for your work, Mr. Willis and all the best to you.”

Another fan wrote, “A legend in every pure sense of the word. The Die Hard series, Pulp Fiction, Looper, Lucky Number Slevin, The Sixth Sense, Friends, Armageddon, The Fifth Element, 12 Monkeys… If this is truly the end, thank you for all you gave us. Yippee Ki Yay Bruce. #BruceWillis.”

The veteran actor was last seen in the heist film A Day to Die (2022). Some of his upcoming projects are Vendetta, The Wrong Place, Paradise City, etc.
