Blue Lock Episode 20 is the twentieth episode of one of the most popular anime of this year. Blue Lock is a sports anime directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe and Hisashi Toujima and is based on an original manga written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yuusuke Nomura. The series is being animated by Studio 8bit.
The show follows Yoichi Isagi, a talented but unrefined striker who gets the opportunity of a lifetime after being invited to compete for and inside the Blue Lock, where Japan’s most talented football strikers have all been gathered to compete against each other. Yoichi might not be the strongest, fastest, sturdiest, or most technically gifted out of all the candidates gathered, but he still has a skill that helps him keep up with the others.
The first selection process saw the strikers compete against each other in teams of 11, just as a standard football match would be. After learning about each other’s strengths and abilities, Yoichi and his teammates, including Bachira, Chigiri, and Kunigami, cleared the first selection successfully. However, a lot of football is still left to play, and many players are still left to defeat!

Yoichi has made his intentions to challenge the top-ranked team very clear, and he and his team will not rest until they defeat this wonky group. Not only that, but they are going up against Bachira, who has been one of their own since the game started and is only on that side because Yoichi and Nagi lost to Rin’s squad in the round of three. The tempers will be flaring as the two teams meet again, but don’t expect the match to start all that soon.

Yoichi has assembled a formidable team to take down the top team, but it is all going to depend on him to prove himself to be better than Bachira to win. Chigiri can counter #2, and Barou can easily destroy #3. Nagi and Rin is a toss-up, but even if that is given to Rin, Yoichi most definitely needs to be the one to stop Bachira’s monster from stealing the entire match away. He isn’t the type to throw matches either, so expect a fight.

Blue Lock Episode 19 Recap
Yoichi, Nagi, and Barou pick Chigiri as he is the only one with the capability to “devour” them. The group does not get along very well as their personalities don’t mesh very well, but Yoichi and Barou are still able to have a moment just between the two of them where they show their respect for each other’s abilities. We see Bachira’s childhood as he struggles to find anyone who finds football as fun as he does and thus creates a monster for himself to play football with.
