The Quincies have been activated in Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Part 2 Episode 4, and the captains will suffer for it. Let’s see what goes down in this review!

Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Part 2 Episode 4 Overview

Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Part 2 Episode 4 Title

What is there to be said about Bleach that hasn’t been said before? It is one of the most popular anime in the West of Japan of all time and is considered a part of the Big Three, a trio of anime widely recognised as having been a part of popularising the medium of anime. The show is back after a hiatus of nine years, as its first run ended in 2013. The newest season of the show is being developed by Studio Pierrot, the studio behind the original series, as well as other giants such as Naruto and Tokyo Ghoul.

The second part of the final arc of Bleach is directed by Tomohisa Taguchi, who has been involved in the productions of Persona 4, The Animation and Twin Star Exorcists, and the series is based on a manga written by Tite Kubo. This episode is also referred to in original Japanese as Bleach Sennen Kessen-hen Ketsubetsu-tan Episode 4 (Bleach Sennen Kessen hen Ketsubetsu tan Episode 4) and Bleach TYBW Part 2 Episode 4. Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Part 2 Episode 4 Review- Heart of Wolf

Bambietta Basterbine Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Part 2 Episode 4

Let’s talk a little about the Renaissance that Bleach is having right now. From having the original anime getting cancelled in 2013, to its Manga end in an unsatisfying fashion, to the first part of Thousand Year Blood War becoming and staying one of the highest-rated anime of all time. It has been an insane ride that Bleach fans have waited a long time for. The reason behind mentioning all this right now is that Bleach’s popularity isn’t just because it is better than it has ever been- it is because the time and energy people had invested in it for so long is finally getting them returns.

After spending so much time with these characters, learning their stories, and getting attached to them, it was beyond sad not to get to see how their story ends. That was, until the Thousand Year Blood War anime. All these captains that are fighting right now with the new characters that have been introduced – they are only getting to show what they are about because the show is back. The people who grew attached to them and their stories- they have a chance to see them get completed and even improved in some cases.

Sajin vs Bambietta 2 Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Part 2 Episode 4

Shinji fans saw his Bankai in the previous episode, something that they didn’t even see in the Manga and only heard a passing mention of. Likewise, Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Part 2 Episode 4 was a treat for all Sajin fans, for not only did our honourable hero come back, but he also came back in a form that made him the strongest character in the series. However, Sajin’s tale was never of power or revenge. His was a tale of justice and kindness, both of which had been shown to him by Head Captain Shikeguni Genryusai Yamamoto.

We see him abandon a few of his principles in this episode with fantastic results. The fight between him and Bambietta is phenomenal, and his thought process while in it is even more so. There were several callbacks to his friendship with former friend Kaname Tosen. It turned out to be quite the emotional tale, contrasted by the heavy and explosive nature of his fight against Bambietta. The CGI is going to be a point of contention for some, but it wasn’t for me. The show looks great right now and has high production quality.

There were other elements to this episode alongside Sajin, like the end to the extremely cool confrontation between Shunsui and Jugram. Shunsui’s laid-back nature leads to several of these moments throughout the series, where his self-assuredness about his own power leads to him casually chatting against his opponent. They are highlights of every episode that they’re in. Also, a pro-wrestler Quincy makes a lot of sense, but I don’t exactly know how to explain that thought.

Verdict

Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Part 2 Episode 4 was intense and emotional. The fight between Bambietta and Sajin was short but explosive and had a lot of weight to it.
