BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, who released her much anticipated solo album Me last month has been breaking many records since then. She has been tagged as the first female solo artist to sell 1.03 million copies in just a span of two days on the Circle Album Chart. And the winning streak doesn’t stop here, as the eldest member of the group has proved once again that she equally carries the crown of one of the best K-pop groups of the generation.
Today, her debut song Flower took the 7th win on the music show Show Champion and simultaneously on the music streaming site, Spotify, she has surpassed BTS’ Jimin in terms of monthly listeners. She now holds the record for surpassing 15 million monthly listeners in 25 days, making her the fastest K-pop soloist to achieve it.
This accomplishment surpasses other popular artists on the platform, including her own bandmate Lisa who holds the record of 26 days, BTS’ Jungkook (148 days), Jimin (349 days), as well as the currently viral group Fifty Fifty achieved it in 140 days along with NewJeans in 165 days.

Released on 31st March 2023, the album Me contains two tracks in total – Flower and All Eyes on Me. Out of which, the title track has become a viral sensation on social media platforms. People from around the world, who don’t particularly tune into K-pop, even they are participating in the dance challenge, due to its addictive beats and easy dance steps that look fun to perform.
Jisoo was the last member to bring out her solo album after, Jennie, Rose & Lisa. Recently they headlined Coachella 2023 and have been making the news for all the right reasons. From their dazzling outfits to the energetic performances, they made it their own personal concert & definitely gained a hundred more fans from the big crowd.
Meanwhile, the BTS member Jimin has also been breaking a few records by charting constantly for four weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. His title track Like Crazy had become the first K-pop solo song to achieve that. While his album Face has reached 344,402,750 streams on Spotify. Simultaenously, his bandmate Suga has also released his album D-Day after much anticipation & has been receiving a positive response from all around.
