Black Doves Season 2 Ending Explained
Who Is Behind the Attack on the Black Doves?
The person behind the attack is none other than Katia Chernov, or Vita, Reed’s long-lost daughter. To understand this connection, viewers are taken years back to when Reed was a young recruit and, while undercover, had a family. However, the job went terribly wrong, and Reed’s family was killed, including her husband. She had lost her daughter, Vita, in the chaos and put her entire group in a dire situation.

Throughout the years after that, Reed has been trying to find Vita, but has been unsuccessful. Meanwhile, her father, although presumed to be dead, was alive and found her whereabouts to get revenge against the woman who destroyed their lives. Vita’s plan, thus, is very personal – she wants to take down the very organisation and the woman who destroyed her life and took everything from her. As a result, she wanted to use Helen to kill Wallace and create a scandal, which will bring the Black Doves’ actions in front of everyone.
Does Helen Kill Wallace?
Helen and Wallace find themselves in an impossible situation after they have to go into hiding after Cecile is kidnapped from the car behind them. There, Helen receives a call from Vita, telling her that her children have been kidnapped and she must kill Wallace to get them back. However, Helen clearly has fallen in love with Wallace and cares for him thoroughly and refuses to let her bully her. In the end, Helen saves both Wallace and her kids, but now it becomes apparent that she’s not just another housewife.

What Happens to Vita and Reed?
In the end, the tragic attack on the Black Doves doesn’t turn out to be fruitful for Vita, as she is fatally wounded after an extended gunfight. In an emotional reunion, Reed finds her daughter dying in front of her eyes and reassures her that despite everything, she still loves her. However, the short time that they share isn’t enough to make up for the years of separation and the torture Vita has gone through. Reed, in the end, is left alone to face the consequences of her actions and the fate of the organisation.
Why Does Sam Leave Helen?

Sam and Helen’s relationship goes through several ups and downs throughout the series and, in the end, he chooses to go back to the small village where he had once enjoyed a quieter life. He even asks Helen to join him with the kids, but Helen refuses to abandon Wallace.
The series has been quite heavy when it comes to Sam’s character arc, and after losing so many people throughout his life, Sam has decided to keep others from dying further. Plus, we have seen him hoping to experience a quieter life, and this finally gives him an opportunity to experience something other than violence. However, will he be able to keep it together? The finale doesn’t give much hope about it.
However, this puts Sam and Helen’s relationship in a bind because it has been such a central part of the series so far. They understand each other deeply, and despite the violence, their vulnerability with each other is unique.
Does Wallace Learn Helen’s Real Identity?

The season gives a small look into Wallace and Helen’s relationship after everything the two go through throughout the series. Their marriage has gone through many ups and downs, and we see it almost on the rocks, with Wallace even wondering whether Helen is cheating on her. However, in the end, even when Wallace meets the possibility of knowing Helen’s past and truth, he chooses to keep it quiet and learn everything from his wife instead.
The last scene shows the two on vacation, and Helen finally sits down to tell her husband, although the contents of the conversation are left up in the air.
What the Ending Means for the Black Doves

When it comes to the organisation, it will take time for them to bounce back, with only Reed and Robert Conteh left to take care of it. Kestrel, too, remains a threat since Patrick is alive as well. Helen, meanwhile, will have a different turn of events in her life, as Wallace knows everything, and that will bring new challenges in her life. The question remains whether this will bring the two closer or be the final nail in the coffin. In the end, though, the future looks bright as Helen is clearly uninterested in being a spy wife, which means that she will take a more direct role in the organisation.
