A huge wave of Black Adam trivia has been sweeping our timelines ever since Dwayne Johnson took over as the commanding force of the movie. Even though the DCEU (DC Extended Universe) isn’t being rebooted in terms of the movie front, it still feels as if this particular movie has resurrected a side of DC movies that’s never been tapped into before.
Audiences across fanbases have often joked about the dark thematic drive of the DC-verse, which has also been translated into visuals that are actually hard to see, owing to their gloomy and dim-lit visage onscreen. The Rock’s movie releasing next week has sworn better VFX and character arcs, introducing the JSA (Justice Society of America) for the first time ever.

Opening up the “DC Bible”, as the actor calls it in one of his interviews with ET, he sees a lot of latent potential in this particular alternate superhero pantheon, which is yet to breathe several characters to life, while others have been completely forgotten over the years. Rumors of the much-awaited return of Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel have been keeping the original fans of DC on their toes, anticipating the biggest showdown these movies have witnessed yet.
He’s already mentioned in an interview that his character will be established as the “most powerful and unstoppable force on this planet” while the “most powerful and unstoppable force in the entire universe” has been sidelined for far too long, hinting at Cavill’s comeback. All of these discussions stem from the fans’ talks about Superman’s exclusion from the cinematic DC front, with Johnson as our listening ear all this time.

Comparisons with Marvel are but natural to trickle in but Johnson knows his way around them, equally respecting the parallel endeavor while also setting the DC characters as “trailblazers” in themselves. He’s been striving for this project to see the light at the end of the tunnel for the past 15 years. Up against the “older regime” of the DC movie-making business, his respective idea was shut down on multiple accounts but with the larger DC verse and its future in sight, the actor never turned his back on his motives. Now the fans have him to thank for this lightning dawn of a new era about to strike the cinemas.

His on and off-camera budding camaraderie with Kevin Hart has a fandom of its own. On being asked about whom he’d like to be introduced to the super universe alongside him, Johnson expressed his delight in wanting to work with both Hart and Idris Elba.
An endless trail of the movie’s global premiere held last night can be found on the actor’s Instagram profile, where he’s been openly flaunting his co-starring Justice Society including Noah Centineo’s Atom Smasher, Pierce Brosnan’s Doctor Fate, Quintessa Swindell’s Cyclone, Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman and more.
