Big Mouth episode 15 starts at the chairman’s funeral, where Chang-ho threatens to expose all of Do-ha’s nastiness in front of everyone. After he leaves, Joo-hee asks him why Chang-ho called him Sung-hyun, and Do-ha promises to tell him everything after they lay the chairman to rest.
On the other hand, Ji-hoon is excited to get his hands on the chairman’s will finally, but as it turns out, the chairman had distributed everything to everyone evenly. The lawyer, furthermore, refuses to tamper with it in any way. They are at least happy that Do-ha didn’t tamper with the will. Just then, Chang-ho calls him about the election, but Ji-hoon asks him to handle it himself. Chang-ho, however, doesn’t let the subject go that easy and lightly threatens him.

Later on, Chang-ho and his team sit down together to read Chairman Kang’s will, and as everyone can imagine, “Chairman Kang” has willed everything to Do-ha and Joo-hee. There’s an uproar in the room, and everyone is left stunned at the revelation. Ji-hoon asks Do-ha why he tampered with it, and an all-out brawl breaks out comprising of Ji-hoon and the Three Musketeers tripping on each other, trying to hit Do-ha. As they are held back, Do-ha leaves with his wife, smirking all the while.
At the hotel, as everyone thinks about the shocking turn of events, Mi-ho gets a call from the hospital, and they inform her that things are quite serious – she should get a full checkup as soon as possible. As Mi-ho hides the truth from her family, Joo-hee wonders how the Chairman left everything to them and notes that Do-ha doesn’t look very happy. He quips that he’s too taken aback at the sudden generosity and has yet to come to terms with it.

Anyway, without much choice, Ji-hoon calls Chang-ho as a last-ditch effort. They meet, and Ji-hoon begs him to help him, falling short of kneeling and begging. Chang-ho takes this opportunity to really get Ji-hoon under his control, and after telling him all about Do-ha’s actions, he asks him to help Chang-ho win the election so that he can destroy Do-ha, but with the help of the law. At this point, Ji-hoon doesn’t have many options but to oblige.
Do-ha, too, decides to change his plans from running for the National Assembly to running for mayor. Joo-hee asks him whether it’s because for Chang-ho, but in the end, she tells him that she will be by his side regardless of what he chooses. When Do-ha asks her how much she trusts him, she tells him that she has never doubted him. Thus, with both of them reaffirming their trust in each other, Do-ha holds a press conference to tell everyone that he will run for mayor instead.
Chang-ho, however, isn’t threatened. He rather mentions that he will turn this election into Do-ha’s grave.

As the election race gets heated and everyone starts to do their best to make an impact on the population, Mi-ho goes to the hospital to finally get herself checked out. After getting the necessary tests, the doctor tells her that it’s acute stage-four lymphoma. She needs to start chemotherapy immediately and start preparing for the future. Mi-ho, obviously, is devasted, and without anyone with her, I cannot imagine how much it would take for a person to hold themselves together after such news.
Meanwhile, everyone celebrates Chang-ho’s victory, and as Mi-ho joins everyone and sees them having a good time, she wistfully looks at her husband and her father, having fun and laughing, unaware that someone so close to them is dying.
That night, the two of them go to the beachside, wherein a drunk Mi-ho asks her husband all kinds of questions and ends up asking him whether he is Big Mouse. Turns out she knows everything, and so that Gi-gwang. Chang-ho promises to give it up after putting Do-ha behind bars but Mi-ho asks him to be the best Big Mouse ever and be there for the weak and powerless. It’s a heartbreaking moment for everyone who knows the truth and poor Chang-ho doesn’t even have an inkling about it.

On the other hand, Ji-hoon’s every plan seems to be going down the drain as the meeting that he had called turns out to be a total dud as everyone has gone to meet Do-ha. At the meeting, it’s shocking that literally everyone he trusted and everyone who was seemingly against Do-ha a second ago have now all turned against him in a matter of seconds!
Anyway, Ji-hoon tries to intimidate him and tell everyone Do-ha’s truth, but it turns out everyone already knows and that Joo-hee is on her husband’s side. She even fiercely defends him in front of everyone and promises to ostracise him if he tries to hurt him. Ji-hoon, now backed to a corner, promises to get his revenge one way or another.
With no other avenues, Ji-hoon goes to Chang-ho and tells him what happened, including the fact that he has no leg to stand on, regardless of the big things he said in front of others. He gives Chang-ho a pendrive and tells him that this is as far as he can help him since he really has no other way to help him.
Chang-ho asks Ji-hoon about Chairman Kang’s son and tells him that they can get the son and use him to sue using the inheritance laws. In this way, they will get back a considerable amount of money which will decrease Do-ha’s hold and power. Ji-hoon, now talking to Joong-rak, tells him about the chairman’s son, the fact that he’s a serial killer and that someone else went to jail in his place.

Meanwhile, Mi-ho feels rather morose seeing his family and probably realising that she might not be able to see them soon. As she’s sitting with her father and taking secret selfies as he sleeps, she gets a call that Kwang-hyun will probably die soon and that things aren’t going great with him.
As Kwang-hyun dies, his sister tells Mi-ho that Kwang-hyeon wasn’t a psychopath and that he had taken the fall for some rich serial killer in lieu of money so that their mother could get surgery. It’s a heartbreaking revelation as the audience adds 2 and 2 together, and you know exactly what they are talking about.
Mi-ho, now seething at the turn of events, goes to talk to Joo-hee and tells her that she will uncover all of their dirty secrets and tell the world who they really are. However, Joo-hee, unfazed, tells her that it will be tragic if she exposes the truth, but the world doesn’t change. Mi-ho, however, isn’t ready to go down without a fight, and she promises to show her otherwise.
That night, Mi-ho goes to meet a hard-working Chang-ho with snacks because he has been working non-stop on the elections. Mi-ho asks him whether he’s going to pull another all-nighter, and when he says that he will, she tells him that they at least should meet each other every day. Chang-ho understands her feelings and promises to make it up to her after everything is over, unaware that she might not even live that long.

The next day, Do-ha gets some interesting information on one of Chang-ho’s past cases and uses Jeon Soo-il to get Chang-ho out of the election race. As the debate comes up hot and heavy, it’s clear that Do-ha has set up people everywhere in order to destroy Chang-ho’s credibility. They bring up the cryptocurrency case that he had once lost, and the media is in a frenzy with the news that the accused in the case gave Chang-ho a large sum of money.
As everyone listens to these accusations against Chang-ho, Ji-hoon confirms that Do-ha is behind this, and after some conversation, Chang-ho decides to hit the nail on the head and go to the debate to take care of the challenge head-on. That night, after a bout of sickness, Mi-ho remembers the pipes apparently belonging to the fish farm and decides that there’s something there that she needs to look into in order to help her husband win the election.
Big Mouth Episode 15 Ending
The next day, as Chang-ho goes off to the debate, Mi-ho and Jerry investigate the fishy fish farm where security is too tight. She asks Jerry to gather everyone – she needs to get into the fish farm.
In an all-around tense situation, as Chang-ho faces off against Do-ha, Mi-ho gets ready to face a rather formidable enemy as well.
Big Mouth Episode 15 Review

Is it weird that they had to get rid of the female lead in order for the male lead to make headway in his mayoral election? I always find it rather odd when shows do this; why does Mi-ho have to go through hell like this in order to prove that Do-ha is a bad guy and that no one should trust him? I am genuinely curious as to why female leads are dispensable like this or whether, if they don’t go through something absolutely tragic, then their characters would cease to hold meaning.
Also, I find it awfully convenient that she went to the lengths that she did in order for this development to occur, which, coincidentally, will solve all of her husband’s problems. I hate character arcs like these – it’s lazy, too convenient and not great.
However, regardless of what my little rant would make you feel, I really enjoyed this episode. It’s peak entertainment. There are several emotional moments, especially that of poor Kwang-hyun dying – how a secondary character dying can have such an impact on me is beyond my comprehension. It might be Yoona’s incredible acting or the background score, or maybe a mix of it all, but they all went together, and I really felt that moment. Especially with that little revelation in the end.
The episode is peppered with such moments and revelations that will constantly keep you thinking. I am really looking forward to meeting the chairman’s son. That’s going to be rather interesting, hopefully. But then again, since Mi-ho will be bringing out the truth of the fish factory anyway, I doubt that would come into play.
I am also awfully confused about whether Joo-hee really loves Do-ha or whether it’s the half-truths and gaslighting that has her smirking and supporting her murderer husband. It seems like she isn’t as bad as him, but her constant support is rather in poor taste. I think in the Big Mouth finale, she will finally know the whole truth, and hopefully, she won’t trust him anymore. Or, who knows, maybe she’s a part of Big Mouse’s group as well, and Chang-ho doesn’t know it yet.
Again, we don’t see Jerry a lot, but he’s again a sight for sore eyes. Yes, I am tracking him and his suits.
Check out the series on Disney+ and on MBC.
