Previously known as King Of Savvy,  Big Bet (카지노) is an original Disney+ South Korean drama series directed by Nam Ki-hoon, and Kang Yoon-sung (known for helming The Outlaws (2017)), who is also stepping in as these screenwriter. The series stars Choi Min-sik as Cha Moo-sik, Son Suk-ku as Oh Seung-hoon and Lee Dong-hwi as Jeong-pal in the lead roles, alongside others.

The action and crime-driven plot of the series puts us right in the midst of the cut-throat environment of casinos, with Cha Moo-sik reigning high on the charts and everyone fearing him in the Philippines. However, things take a turn when he gets entangled in a murder case and is compelled to play the biggest bet for his life to win the “fierce game of survival”.

Disney Plus’ description of the series reads: “Cha Moosik runs a casino bar, only to flee to the Philippines due to a crackdown by the National Tax Service”.

Big Bet Season 2 Cast

Led by Choi Min-sik as Cha Moo-sik, Son Suk-ku as Oh Seung-hoon and Lee Dong-hwi as Jeong-pal as the main characters, the k-drama also stars Lee Kyu-hyung, Heo Sung-tae, Kim Joo-ryoung, Kim Roi-ha, Jin Seon-kyu, Lee Hye-young, and Ryu Hyun-kyung alongside others.

The second season of the Korean drama series will also have 8 episodes, with the first three episodes releasing all together on February 15, 2023, i.e. Wednesday. Each subsequent episode will be released on a weekly basis.

The series will be available to watch exclusively on Disney+ in some territories and on Hulu in the United States.

Big Bet Season 2 Episode 5 Release Date and Time

The series will start streaming from February 15, 2023, to March 22, 2023. Episodes 5 will release on February 29 at 1:30 PM IST.

Moo-sik is likely to head back to Korea and sort out all the mess left behind, while finding new ways to emerge out of the present predicament as well. Seung-hoon will tread around carefully in hopes of finding any pieces of solid proof against him, but at the same time, since he’s gained new intel from Moo-sik against Chil-gu and Yoon-gi, he may probe further into these accusations too.

After Min Seok-jun’s murder, Chil-gu and Yoon-gi entrap Moo-sik in their web of deception by enlisting help from the NBI and ruling him out as the prime suspect of the crime. Seung-hoon believes him to have been involved in it somehow as well, but due to the lack of hard evidence against him, he takes a different route that leads him into an unlikely alliance with Moo-sik himself that doesn’t end well for the latter.

Episode 4 is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on February 22, 2023.
