This show was everything we had been looking for; bringing the best of both worlds.
Marry My Husband follows a woman who is betrayed by her husband and best friend. However, she is reborn before things went downhill, giving her a chance to fix everything that went wrong. On the way, she finds people who genuinely care for her and a love who has been waiting for her all this time.
The Atypical Family
This drama came as a surprise because of how well it fit with everything we wanted. The unique plot brought in a mix of many of our favourite elements, which fit each other so well that we still find it hard to get over this show. The characters are all so beautifully made that we couldn’t help relating to them.
The Atypical Family follows a family with supernatural powers that are slowly being lost due to modern-day problems. However, when a woman disrupts their lives when she enters the family, things begin to change for the better.
No Gain No Love
This show was another surprise this year, making it one of the best-made dramas that fits in well in this genre. The plot is humourous and entertaining while the cast is unlike any other. Shin Min-ah shines throughout the show and the rest of the cast doesn’t fall behind as they each bring their individual charms to their characters, making the show one of the best this year.
No Gain No Love follows a woman who doesn’t want to lose out on a promotion just because she is not married. Unexpectedly, she asks the cashier at a convenience store to marry her, only to have him accept her proposal. There begins a story filled with humour, trouble, and chaos like no other.
Miss Night and Day
This drama brought out an intriguing concept that had us all captivated right from the start. Its unique plot and intriguing characters gave viewers an exciting start that made it one of the dramas that was hard to miss out on this year. The show had everything we wanted to make it an entertainer and we loved it.
Miss Night and Day follows a woman who finds herself becoming an old woman during the day and back to her young self at night. Caught in this mysterious situation, she tries to work her way through it while dealing with love interests.
Lovely Runner
There is no doubt that this show had us all screaming, crying, laughing, and falling in love. This show has to be among the best this year because of how well it was made, and the emotional turmoil it caused us all this year. It had everything we wanted and we are still having a hard time getting over this beautiful show.
Lovely Runner follows the story of a young girl who is stuck by the death of her favourite idol. However, she finds herself returning to the past and is given a chance to save him; only to find out that they share a deeper connection than she had expected.
My Sweet Mobster
This show is definitely underrated among the dramas this year, but it deserves its spot on this list because of how beautiful it is. Be it the plot or the actors and their characters, this show is among the best this year and should not be missed by viewers. It is exceptionally cute and is filled with intriguing twists that had us falling for this show.
My Sweet Mobster follows the story of a legend in the underworld who has turned into the CEO of a company that hires ex-convicts; and his intersection with a beloved children’s entertainer. Filled with a series of hilarious and embarrassing meets, the two begin to understand each other better and find out a past that they share.
Doctor Slump
Beloved by many, this show had us all go through an emotional rollercoaster as the leads face a series of misfortune that comes from their extraordinary selves. This show dives deep into mental health issues and brings out a rivals-turned-lovers troupe that we cannot resist for long.
Doctor Slump follows two school rivals who make it big into the world, but when tragedy hits the two a reunion takes place. Soon, the two begin to look beyond their misconceptions about each other and begin a new journey together.
Love Next Door
This show was more than just a beloved rom-com, it was a drama that took us on a healing journey as we see ourselves facing our inner child. With relatable characters who are hard to miss out on, it brought a new definition to love and made us wish for something like what the main characters have.
Love Next Door follows the story of childhood friends who drift apart, only to meet once again years later. As they begin a journey of rekindling their bond, they find themselves healing forgotten wounds.
Family by Choice
Having finished just recently, this show was everything we wanted plus, some extra moments of love. This show entertained us in the best way possible, bringing about something intriguing with each episode. The drama brought to us the perfect remake of another drama and satisfied fans of the original show.
Family by Choice tells the story of a trio bound by love, making a family with their two fathers after being abandoned by blood. The story follows their journey as they pass the hurdles of life while still being connected to each other.
Queen of Tears
Finally, we have the show that brought out the best of everything a rom-com has to offer, along with a plot which left us all in tears. The show was an entertainer like no other and deserves all the love it earned during the time of its release and after that. This show was really one of the best and deserves its spot on this list.
Queen of Tears follows the story of a couple who strive through the hurdles brought in front of them and stay together against all odds. Their thrilling journey is unlike any other, showing the love they share despite what the world says about them.
