Behind Your Touch Episode 9 Recap

The episode starts with all the residents of Mujin gathering to vote. When the people ask Sun-woo who he will vote for, he tells in front of Assemblyman Mr. Cha that he hasn’t found any right candidate yet. Then at the police station, Jang-yeol doesn’t charge Gwang-sik and Ae-ran severely but lets them off with a simple fine. Ae-ran’s friend Ji-suk visits Ye-boon and asks about Ae-ran to which she reveals that she is safe at the police station.

The coffee shop owner finds Ae-ran and drags her back to the coffee shop. Gwang-sik yells at Ye-boon for telling Ji-suk about Ae-ran’s place. This upsets Ye-boon as she thought Ji-suk is sincerely worried about Ae-ran. Ye-boon confronts Ji-suk and she says that she indeed was anxious for Ae-ran. However, she got furious as Ae-ran left knowing that if any one of the two girls went missing, the remaining one has to clear off that person’s debt as well.

Ye-boon gets drunk at a nearby soju shop and meets Sun-woo. They both have a conversation about trust and people to which Sun-woo tells Ye-boon to not trust anyone. However, she insists that she will continue trusting people and starts telling him that she has power. Sun-woo cuts her off and tells her to not tell. She becomes tipsy again and falls down but Sun-woo places his palm under her forehead so she won’t get hurt.

Ye-boon then has a vision about her mother’s death but this time Ji-suk was there as the victim. Ye-boon instantly wakes up and runs away. When Sun-woo comes back and finds Ye-boon missing, he looks at her mobile phone that she forgot and touches it, sensing something. Ye-boon meets with Ji-suk and tries to have a conversation. She gets on her bike and goes along with her for the delivery.

After the delivery, Ji-suk tricks Ye-boon and leaves her in that isolated place. Ye-boon starts walking towards the road and finds Ji-suk’s bike on the ground. She catches a firefly and reads its memories to find Ji-suk’s place. She then follows the path and sees the serial killer stabbing Ji-suk. Ye-boon pushes him away and saves Ji-suk. They both go and hide in a secluded place.

Ye-boon tells Ji-suk to stay there so she can go get some help. She comes across most of the Mujin residents coming on the bus and starts to avoid their touch since they might be psychic. She gets on the bus and goes to Mujin. She then is touched by more residents as they check up on her bloody face. She runs to Jang-yeol and tells him about the incident.

Both of them return to where Ji-suk is and find her stabbed to death (Obviously. Why did Ye-boon leave her there? She could have taken her on the bus). Ye-boon becomes shattered and the cops all arrive. Later, Jang-yeol and Ye-boon have a conversation regarding the serial killer. They both realise that the serial killer might be the psychic. He then asks her about all the people who recently touched her and she lists them all out. Since she trusts all of them, she finds it hard to suspect.

The next day, Ye-boon’s grandfather gives a case file to Jong-muk to check on it since he is too old to continue with it. When Jong-muk opens and finds Mr. Cha in it, he wonders. Just then, Mr. Cha the new president comes to visit Jong-mok and tells him to ensure the serial killer news doesn’t hit the press.

Jang-yeol clears Ae-ran’s debt and helps her return to Gwang-sik. Since Ye-boon’s palm is injured, they make Gwang-sik work in their cases. Jang-yeol asks Gwang-sik to read Ye-boon’s memories so they can find a lead. After reading, all of them go back to Gwang-sik’s barn where he describes that suspicious man’s (possibly the psychic) height and width.

Later that night, when Gwang-sik and Jang-yeol see Sun-woo, they feel that all the description of the suspicious man fits Sun-woo. Jang-yeol also checks the convenience store and learns that Sun-woo wasn’t working during elections meaning that he was out during the killing. Jang-yeol calls Ye-boon and asks her whereabouts but she lies to him as she is at Sun-woo’s workshop. Jang-yeol panics while at the workshop Sun-woo picks up the knife and walks towards Ye-boon.

Behind Your Touch Episode 9 Review

The episode developed Sun-woo’s character. Firstly, he seems to be having a beef with Mr. Cha which we’re yet to learn. I assume that both Sun-woo and Ye-boon’s mothers died due to Mr. Cha. Secondly, Sun-woo is definitely not the serial killer because by the looks of how he is being portrayed as the killer that too in the 9th episode, it shows that the creators are trying to make people think he might be the bad guy.

The comedy aspect is so generous in the series, thanks to the supporting characters. Though the series touches on a sensitive topic that is serial killing, due to humour, the episodes feel light-hearted yet thrilling. Jang-yeol and Ye-boon still haven’t developed any feelings but it’s nice to see how they both trust each other way too much.

One scene that I highly dislike is Ye-boon leaving Ji-suk at that dark place. Is she thoughtless? Yes, Ji-suk was hurt but Ye-boon could have helped her and taken her to the hospital rather than leave her there until she found help. This scene is definitely poorly written and I hope the writers won’t continue with such scenes.

  1. I did not like this episode, after all the shit that poor girl gone trough is ending like this,

I hope that whore cafe she tried too escape from is burning down, with the old hagis pimp boss,

And the traitor shity bitch friend that rattled her out in the start of eps 9,

Where is this cafe? I would burn it down myself,

Now the girl who has this power, its aint doing shit so far, three dead so far bravo, i think i gonna jump off this for now.

Likely the murder person is not going to be caught before last minutte in the last episode, a simple death i guess, not wasting more time on this,

Just avoid this one episode and youre good, me i took it personally, it was fun in the start now its just getting worse,

This is not funny anymore, this is not a short series, is just a loopng suffering stuff where every good person’s dies, four so far. The first one the internet famous girl was a monster not so sad about that one.

  2. Waste of time they all gonna die, just dont watch this is was the final drops for my part,

Stating too get a bit too violently to enjoy or been funny.
