Back in the Groove Episode 3 and 4 repeats the same trajectory of over-the-top sassy moments, followed by a vast increment in the cringe level. For the unversed, the series revolves around three ladies in their forties, looking for a younger match inside the Groove Hotel. Moreover, the show is hosted by Taye Diggs and is divided into eight episodes.
The complete cast of the show includes Pedro Salamanca as Pedro the Concierge, Stepahine Michaels, Sparkle Hyche, Brooke Mora, Tashi Thukhotsong, Mike Cerroni, and Quentin Llyod as the contestant. Furthermore, the average runtime of each episode is one hour.
-Back in the Groove Episode 3-4 Review Does Not Contain Spoilers-
Back in the Groove Episode 3 starts with another montage of shirtless bodybuilding men, and quickly moves on to the agenda of the fresh day. Steph, who has been having a pretty gala time till now, doesn’t want to surprise her newly found besties with her own son, who is also participating in the show.
On the other hand, Brooke takes the matter into her own hand and decides to spice things up in the Groove hotel. She instructs Pedro the concierge to ask out three guys at once, and shortlist the most compatible one from them. As you can already guess, Pedro affirms her request with a slightly creepy smile (that guy is deep into his character boots) and initiates the process.
Other than that, there is literally nothing new about the latest instalment of this cringe-filled sassy show. In fact, Back in the Groove Episode 4 is so repetitive that I am used to the mind-numbing Deja Vu by now.
The only part where I was slightly interested in the show was during Steph’s big revelation to Sparkle, which catches her completely off guard. Even though the reaction did not feel genuine, the nephew jokes were really impressive. Moreover, I am convinced that she’s the only one with a sense of humour in the house.

On the contestant front, Tashi looks like the only one who is ready to show some emotions, rather than the usual biceps. He also shares an emotional moment with Brooke in the episode, which does part away from the cringe for a minute.
Even though the materialistic show-off is one of the core elements of the show, it’s pretty ironic that the entire setup is nothing more than plain lacklustre. The events lack any rhythm to entertain and crumble to generate any fresh ideas. Moreover, I feel the series is going to become dumber as it progresses further.
