The official trailer of upcoming movie Babylon has finally dropped. Written and directed by Damien Chazelle, it is one of the most highly anticipated star studded movie of 2022. It is the story about ambitious characters and their rise and fall during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood.
Starring Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt as the main characters, the movie will take us back in time. The rest of the cast includes, Tobey Maguire, Olivia Wilde, Jean Smart, Samara Weaving, Max Minghella, Eric Roberts, Katherine Waterston, Phoebe Tonkin, Lukas Haas, Spike Jonze, Jeff Garlin, Jennifer Grant and more. The cinematographer of the film is Linus Sandgren and the music is given by Justin Hurwitz.
The movie is produced by Paramount Pictures, Marc Platt Productions and Material Pictures. Filmed in Los Angeles the total runtime of the movie is around 3 hours.
In the trailer, Brad Pitt and Margo Robbie appear to be actors who are struggling for success. Even though their destination is the same but their journey is very different. Pitt seems like he is already an established artist who is struggling to maintain his success, living in the fear that someone new might surpass him meanwhile Margot seems like a woman who is struggling to become successful. A journey of a man in showbiz is very different than that of a woman.
Strange characters also appear in the trailer which represents the peculiarity in the industry. Tobey Maguire is portraying one of them with an odd appearance which makes him stand out. Various props and animals are also used in the movie which was prevalent in the early days of Hollywood. A character of a simple man also frequently keeps appearing throughout the trailer.

The trailer displays both the extravagant and the exploited group of people. On one side they show us people partying in grand ways and on the other hand an angry group of workers. The story of how the people in Hollywood used to take advantage of the downtrodden is widely known.
The visuals of the trailer are quite exquisite. Set in the beautiful locations of L.A., it gives us a closer look at how the film industry worked in the beginning. The costumes, styling, and makeup of the characters also look alluring. Combined with the eccentric background score, it transports us back in time.
Babylon is releasing on December 23, 2022 in the United States.
