Netflix’s new show is one of the funniest shows that I’ve watched in a while. Directed by Nikolaj Feifer and Amalie Næsby Fick, Shruk series features a six-episode season 1, with a runtime of 30 minutes each.

Baby Fever Review: Bizarre Things Happen When You’re Drunk

The show follows Nana, a fertility doctor who accidentally gets herself pregnant after a drunken night with her ex-boyfriend. The show is a romantic comedy-drama that focuses on the lives of its characters and their relationships. It’s funny and heartwarming, making you cry on more than one occasion.

It also features plenty of laughs, including some funny in-office banter between Nana and her co-workers. Baby Fever is a humorous romantic drama whose most significant strength is the chemistry between the leads and a perky script filled with unexpected situations and fun, realistic dialogue.

The acting of the two main characters plays a key role, especially that of Josephine Park, who portrays the character of someone who suffers from infertility problems brilliantly. This can be attributed to the way she performs, acting sober but with a freshness that makes her character quite “unfinished”. This impression can also be explained that she is often required to simulate an artificial state of drunkenness.

Baby Fever Review: Romance and Comedy on the Roll

With the secret pregnancy, Nana begins to see her clients in a new light, but as her lies grow more extensive, it becomes harder and harder for her to navigate them. For the first time in her life, Nana must tell the truth – and reveal a secret that could cost her everything.

Baby Fever is a romantic comedy-drama centred around the life of a fertility doctor, Nana. Imagine if you had to go through the physical and emotional rollercoaster of becoming pregnant. All you had to do was stay in bed, taking care of your body while enduring emotional traumas. This is what Baby Fever lets us see in the form of a story, which although far from realistic, is a surprise therapeutic turn of events.

If you’re looking for an exciting show, you can watch Baby Fever on Netflix. The series offers an alternative to the usual romantic comedies and dramas. Furthermore, Baby Fever is set in the world of fertility doctors, where Nana works as a doctor and inseminates herself with a sperm sample. In addition to that, many different characters give the show its colour and uniqueness.

Baby Fever Review: Comedy-Drama Unfolds in Layers of Expression

As the story progressed and more characters were introduced, it became super engaging and funny. I’m not a big fan of romantic comedies, but I liked Baby Fever so much because of its originality and great acting. The characters are portrayed very well; they are all so likeable and funny that your heart can’t help but melt.

Baby Fever puts fertility on a pedestal and the reality that sometimes, things don’t go as planned. The first episode of Baby Fever had me questioning what Nana was up to because she certainly is a determined woman when getting her ex-boyfriend back. Seeing this comedy-drama unfold was so addicting! I couldn’t get enough of these characters.

Stream It or Skip It?

This is one of the best romantic comedy dramas I’ve watched. The cast has fantastic chemistry, and there is never a dull moment with their humorous banter and interaction. The storyline keeps you on your toes since it’s not always easy to tell if the couple will be together. Baby Fever is one of the funniest shows I’ve seen in a long time.
