NCT 127 is unstoppable when it comes to redefining the ‘Neo Culture Technology’ tag, and with their latest comeback, Ay-Yo, they’re once again caught up in a new version of their self-designed matrix. Coming out with new music in the form of their fourth full-length repackaged album for the fans on January 30, 2023, the nonet managed by SM Entertainment is once again charting high on twitter trends.
The nine members of the group including Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan have proved time and again why their K-pop comebacks are highly anticipated, top-class events of the year. With Haechan, the youngest member’s return to the stage, his fans (collectively known as Sunflowers) have also trended a separated keyword, “Fullsun shines again”, in celebration of his healthy recovery.

While the outfits adorned by each member of the Seoul-based sub-unit of NCT are rather casual and chic, the full attention of the audience is drawn towards the artistry and eccentricity of the music video which features them levitating air and doing whatnot. Certain sections of the video may even refresh the memory of a past musical era, i.e. Punch, the second player, wherein the singers/rappers put on black leather outfits as well.
From Jaehyun being likened to Boss Baby to Taeyong’s hairstyle seeming similar to that of the legendary anime character Goku, the video has its peak moments that drive NCTzens to the edge of their seats despite it not sporting any particular eye-catching costumes. As the nine-member group is coined a gathering of “main slayers” who make it a point to deliver only hard-hitting bangers that never disappoint, the fans’ loyalty towards their artistic growth has further been consolidated.
