Are You Sure Review (Episodes 1 & 2): Jungkook and Jimin’s Fun Summer In The USA!

The adventure we have all been waiting for is finally here as BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook are ready to take us on their adventure in their documentary Are You Sure?!. We are taken to three global destinations- New York, Jeju Island and Sapporo, where they show their undeniable chemistry and friendship. As they travel through these destinations and show the best of the place, we are set for an unforgettable adventure.

Prior to their enlistment into the South Korean military, the Busan Boys BTS’ Jimin and BTS’ Jungkook came together for an eight-episode-long adventure that is to be released on Disney+.

BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook embark on a fun adventure on Are You Sure as the two begin their journey right after Jungkook’s performance at the GMA in 2023. After his no-rehearsal performance of his hit song Seven, Jungkook and Jimin begin their travel by going kayaking in a place near New York.

On their way there, they stop for some food and beer and soon make their way for kayaking where Jungkook begins his ride with a slow slip into the water that leaves him drenched. He gets on his ride once again and races with Jimin, as the two laugh and enjoy fooling around while rowing through the water.

After a fun time on their kayaks, the two head to their designated resting area where they prepare a hefty dinner while showing off their intuition-led cooking. Soon, they settle down to eat and begin calling their members starting with Taehyung (BTS’ V) and later calling up Yoongi (BTS’ Suga).

Soon after, they head to bed but it looks like Jimin is not able to cope any longer and we see that he has been sick for most of the trip on this day. With a bad case of a stomach bug, he is not destined to have a peaceful night.

Episode 2 continues with this scene and we see Jimin complaining about how he was knocked in the nose by Jungkook’s elbow the previous night and Jimin had no choice but to spend most of the night in front of the fridge. While medicine for Jimin arrives, Jungkook builds a stone tower to wish for a good day ahead.

Following this brief chaos, the two head out where Jungkook rides a motorbike while Jimin rides with the staff members in a car. Jungkook makes sure to tell ARMYs that he is riding safely while Jimin keeps the entertainment up with his little comments. Soon they reach their destination where they begin hiking amidst the greenery that leaves them mesmerised. The chaotic duo don’t disappoint us as the teasing continues, followed by a herd of mosquitoes chasing Jimin.

Soon, the two reach their second destination for the day which is a yacht ride. The two begin their relaxing journey on the yacht while Jimin gets his well-deserved break. Meanwhile, Jungkook does not waste any chance to capture the beauty passing by him on his phone. Soon, the two begin having their own fun time while suggesting names for their travel documentary.

It is soon time for food and the two once again enjoy the taco feast laid out in front of them. Later, they head back and Jimin gets another round of nap time which leaves him satisfied. The duo then heads to get some grocery shopping done, with Jimin trying his best to get the things they need while keeping Jungkook away from the snacks.

The two soon reach the house reserved for them and cook up a pasta dinner, following which Jungkook gets Jimin to play his new song Who and gives his suggestions for the same. With this, the day comes to an end and the next morning, Jungkook wakes up early and hungry. Grabbing some snacks, he satiates his hunger for a while but when it gets too much, he heads to Jimin’s room to wake him up.

The two then head out on Jungkook’s motorbike and a short rain shower later, they reach the mart where they grab some things for breakfast. Following their shopping scenes, the two headed out to see it pouring hard and decided to go back in the car driven by the staff after another quick round of getting drenched.

After a quick meal, the two head out to their final destination (meal) of the trip where they have a lobster meal in a beautiful atmosphere. While Jimin keeps out of the rain due to his poor health, nothing can stop Jungkook as he faces the showers and enjoys his trip. With this, their New York leg of the tour comes to an end.

Summing Up: Are You Sure Episodes 1 & 2

Are You Sure?! brings back some of the best BTS trip vibes and we are surely loving the show even when it’s just two members on this trip. While the small glimpses of BTS’ V and BTS’ Suga were surely a bonus in the first episode, the Busan Boys surely know how to keep the entertainment up.

Meanwhile, Jimin pushing through till the end of the trip to keep Jungkook and ARMYs watching company is surely melting our hearts once again, we hope that he didn’t have to struggle too much during this time. Altogether, a new adventure has begun and new BTS content never fails to impress us all.
