Apartment 404 Overview

In this 8-episode retro variety programme, six members, including Yoo Jae-suk, Oh Na-ra, Cha Tae-hyun, Yang Se-chan, Lee Jung-ha and BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim will explore the mysteries that lie within the different residences of an apartment complex. Every episode will have something different and the story will vary from episode to episode. Based on true events, the episode will be a mix of mystery and comedy, with entertainment being the middle word throughout! On top of that, the six members will be split up into two teams and guest stars will also join them in every episode, shaking group dynamics up and adding spice for the viewers as well.

At the end of the competition between the two teams, one person will be announced as the winner of the show. Jeong Cheol-min, the producer and director, has been a part of hit variety shows such as Sixth Sense and Running Man and popular host and comedian Yoo Jae-suk is also a known figure in the comedy circuit and has also worked with the director on both shows while actress Oh Na-ra has been a part of Sixth Sense.

Meanwhile, comedian Yang Se-chan was a part of Running Man. Lee Jung-ha has been a part of many variety shows as a host but will take part in a variety show for the first time. Lastly, Jennie Kim, popularly known as Jennie, is a part of the enigmatic K-pop group BLACKPINK.

The first episode introduced the 6 members- Jennie, Yoo Jae-suk, Oh Na-ra, Cha Tae-hyun, Yang Se-chan and Lee Jung-ha as they dressed up to go back in time, particularly in 1998. They used a real-life incident to create a fun and intriguing mission for the two teams to solve. With hilarious games and multiple clues, the viewers were left gripping their seats for the twists and turns. Each member added to the mystery as more and more of the story was revealed.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie shines in the episode as she uses her quick-thinking skills to solve the clues that come her way. With many popular personalities like Yoo Jae-suk and Yang Se-chan, she managed to hold her own and even create many funny moments with her cute gestures and one-liners.

Apartment 404 Episode 2 Preview

The second episode takes a darker turn as the 6 members travel further in time, to 1986. They discover that their new mission is to find a young girl who has been kidnapped. Based on a true story from 1986, the team come together to search for clues that will help them reach the girl. But, there is a twist where a few of the members might be involved in becoming obstacles for the rest of the team.

Dressed in the 80s fashion, the 6 of them use even older appliances to solve a mystery that leaves them feeling confused every step of the way. From Oh Na-ra running with a pile of books in her hand to Yoo Jae-suk accidentally hanging up on the person giving the next clue- leaving the rest of the team dumb-founded. The viewers get amused as one points a finger at the other and so on, leaving us excited for the next mission!

Weekly episodes of Apartment 404 starring BLACKPINK’s Jennie, Yoo Jae-suk and others will air on tvN at 8.40 PM KST every Friday while also releasing on Prime Video worldwide.
