Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Episode 11 Preview

Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Episode 12 Review Peak Rom-Com

The episode opens with a glimpse into Masachika’s difficult childhood, revealing just how tough it was. Expected to become the family heir, Masachika was under constant pressure to be perfect in everything he did, particularly in his efforts to impress his mother. He was once a gifted piano player, but despite all his hard work, his mother remained indifferent. The stress of these memories weighs heavily on him, and he wakes up feeling feverish.

Stuck at home due to his illness, Masachika expects a dull day. However, Alya shows up to take care of him, thanks to Yuki, who has informed her of his condition. Yuki even gave Alya Masachika’s address and details about the medicine he takes, seemingly playing matchmaker for her brother. But Yuki’s true motives remain unclear.

The latter half of the episode takes a more intense turn as Yuki confronts Alya head-on, showing her manipulative side. If Alya had been alone, Yuki might have had the upper hand. However, Alya isn’t without her own support—she has a loyal group of allies standing by her. By the end of the episode, Alya manages to win over two more supporters, setting the stage for a bigger showdown with Yuki.

It is the dreaded last episode of this very beloved anime, and things really went very well here. The episode begins with the preparation from Alya’s side for the upcoming official introduction of the students running for the student council president election. Both the candidates and their supporters must give a speech in front of a huge crowd and kind of put forward themselves to appeal for votes.

Alya is visibly nervous because of what happened previously when she was manipulated by Yuki. But, this time, Masachika is with her, and he totally assures her that she will be able to manage the whole situation herself. They later meet Yuki and Ayano, and here you can literally see Yuki and Masachika sizing each other with glares. Masachika even intimidates his sister for taking such a nasty step against Alya, praising her on one hand and threatening her on the other.

However, the best face-off in this anime happens later when Yuki and Alya present their speech in front of the crowd. Yuki chooses to go 1st so that she can impact the crowd with a powerful and well-rehearsed speech. But what she does not think of is how brilliant her brother can be when he wants to. Masachika literally comes up with a plan that not only makes Alya shine brighter than ever but also puts forward the very reason why he thinks Alya should be the president.

But this is not the only highlight of this episode, as we also get some much-needed romantic moments from the leads. They both are very interested in each other and even though they might not outright confess their feelings, you can tell how much they like each other.

Verdict

This episode has ended, and we will not be seeing these interesting characters anymore. Even though I’m extremely sad, I’m also glad that the makers have already announced the second season. So, if there are any of you who are still debating whether you should watch this anime or not, just do it.
