Although we’d previously covered quite a few shows cancelled by Netflix in 2022, it seems that the OTT platform has left even more fans dismayed as more titles have joined this list of cancellations. Some other Netflix originals that will soon be concluding their run on the digital streaming platform are listed below.
Here is the list of all the shows cancelled by Netflix in 2022 so far. We hope your favourite didn’t make the cut on this list and got to see the light of the day. Keeping our fingers crossed, let’s take a look.
The List of Shows Cancelled By Netflix in 2022
The Imperfects
(Released on September 8, 2022; Cancelled after 1 season)
“A chupacabra, a banshee, and a succubus meet in a park”, and what does Netflix do with them? Closes the case on them after a mere season of cliched experimentations. There’s no denying that the super-teen horror thriller relied on hackneyed elements of the genre to make things work but it was an entertaining mess nevertheless. You can read our review for The Imperfects here.
The leading trio (Rhianna Jagpal, Iñaki Godoy, and Morgan Taylor Campbell) are experimented upon, and it seems to have happened without their consent, by an eccentric rogue scientist. Side effects soon arise that turn their lives upside down and all they can think of is about finding the one responsible for these results in order to revert back to their normal human roots. (Available on Netflix)
The Midnight Club
(Released on October 7, 2022; Cancelled after 1 season)
Remember meeting up with your friends and taking turns to narrate horror tales to pass the night? Now take it up a notch. The Midnight Club, with its eight terminally ill members, unites at a manor defined by its own spooky history to share similar stories, while striking up a deal to keep up with the interactions from even beyond the grave.
Warrior Nun
(Released on July 2, 2022; Cancelled after 2 seasons)
Celebrating a glorious female led cast, the show, though drenched in supernatural fiction, found a great fan-following, especially among sapphic audiences and allies. Adding another title to the list of normalised representations being cancelled at Netflix, fans are furious (again, an understatement). Lamenting the loss of one more good show, Netflix users don’t know how much longer they can keep up with this parade of getting their hearts shattered again and again.
Partner Track
(Released on August 26, 2022; Cancelled after 1 season)
Led by the former Teen Wolf star Arden Cho, the legal drama is all about the struggles faced by Ingrid Yun at an elite NYC law firm, all while juggling with her personal morals, principles, romance, family and friends. The Netflix series was cancelled in November 2022.
Half Bad: The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself
(Released on October 28, 2022; Cancelled after 1 season)
Following the same trend of axing down series after their first season conclusion, Netflix executed the action on the highly rated Half Bad: The Bastard Son and The Devil Himself as well. Based on Sally Green’s novel Half Bad, the show starred Jay Lycergo, David Gyasi and more, the show had it all – warring clans, witches, a solid representation of teen sexuality. Unfortunately, none of these factors could save the title, leaving the fans severely furious.
Blockbuster
(Released on November 3, 2022; Cancelled after 1 season on December 17, 2022)
Bad Crimes
This adult animated series starring Nicole Byer and Lauren Lapkus was cancelled mid-production despite the platform going strong on the adult animation front. Its story was set to travel around the city with two FBI agents set on solving as many ghastly crimes as possibles while balancing their friendship, men, their careers etc. Unfortunately, we couldn’t even witness the beginning of the plot.
Bone
The much-loved (across all ages) animated serial originally created by Jeff Smith was cancelled in April 2022 after its many revamped renditions making it to our screens. Some sources even claim that the show was actually cancelled in Fall 2021 itself but the news for the same only became known to the public in 2022.

Q-Force
(Released on September 2, 2021; Cancelled after 1 season)
Another adult animation to fall prey to Netflix’s design was Q-Force, featuring a team of LGBTQI+ secret agents constantly chasing adventurous escapades.
Fate: The Winx Saga
(Released on January 22, 2021; Cancelled after 2 seasons)
Despite having left things open-ended, the series won’t be coming back for another run. Based on the children’s Nickelodeon cartoon, the live-action adaptation focuses on the lives of fairies at a magic boarding school in Otherworld, whose coming-of-age story is filled with fantastical hazards as well in addition to the usual teenage heartbreaks. (Available on Netflix)
Space Force
(Released on May 29, 2020; Cancelled after 2 seasons)
The praise-worthy cast assembly wasn’t enough to keep the show alive. The workplace dramedy revolves around the United States Space Force, the sixth establishment of the United States Armed Forces and the various dysfunctional orders passed by the government that its mentioned branch must carry out.
Pretty Smart
(Released on October 8, 2021; Cancelled after 1 season)
Starring old Disney heartthrobs Emily Osment and Gregg Sulkin, the American sitcom pushes the main character i.e. brainiac Chelsea to live with her starkly opposite sister and her three roommates. (Netflix)
On The Verge

Raising Dion

Another Life
(Released on July 25, 2019; Cancelled after 2 seasons)
