Alienoid: Everything to Know About Korean Sci-Fi Fantasy Film

South Korean fantasy movies have had their fair share of fans who know that this industry is bound to give them the best that they’ve got. And when it comes to a mix of the fantasy and sci-fi genres, then we know that we’ve got to sit tight and get ready for an unforgettable experience. But when you’ve got this extraordinary mix with a cast that has Kim Woo-bin, Ryu Jun-yeol, and Kim Tae-ri put together- well then there’s going to be a bigger explosion for sure!

Alienoid (외계+인 1부) is an upcoming sci-fi fantasy film that is split into two parts and is directed and written by Choi Dong-hoon.

Alienoid Plot

A time gate appears between a swordsman from the late Goryeo dynasty who tries to get his hands on a legendary sword and those who want to catch an alien imprisoned inside a human body. What comes next is a chaotic situation which affects both the time periods and the people who go through this door.

Alienoid Cast

This sci-fi fantasy movie has got an impressive cast with wonderful actors. The cast consists of Our Blues starrer Kim Woo-bin, Twenty-Four Twenty-One actor Kim Tae-ri, and from the hit series Reply 1988Ryu Jun-yeol, alongside So Ji-sub, Jo Woo-jin, Lee Hanee, and other actors.

Ryu Jun-yeol acts as the swordsman Mureuk, Kim Woo-bin is Guard who manages the prisoners, and Kim Tae-ri as Lee Ahn.

Alienoid Release Date, Trailer and More

The film is set to release on July 20, 2022, and will release in two parts. Part 1 follows travellers from the present time who go to the Goryeo period, while part 2 will centre around Taoists who travel through time and space to get the legendary sword.
