Alchemy of Souls is one show that we cannot stop swooning over, and while we are suggesting this show to everyone we know, there is no resistance when it comes to discussing this show on social media. And among the many things that we love are the little snippets of the set of season 2 that are being shared by the cast and fans alike.
We have definitely seen our fair share of Alchemy of Souls season 2 theories and spoilers on social media that we are loving, but as along with the excitement, they bring questions that make us unable to wait for the upcoming season.
After the release of information like the name of season 2 being Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow along with the character profile of the mages and people of Daeho, our detective’s brains have taken up the task to find out as much as possible about the upcoming season as we can.

Alchemy of Souls Season 2 Predictions
The Character Profiles
Let us start this with the list of character description that went wild on social media a few days back. This list that confirmed the upcoming changes in the show, especially the relationship between some important characters. With Park Dang-gu and Jin Cho-yeon officially becoming husband and wife, along with Park Jin and Kim Do-ju being engaged, it also revealed new characters that are soon to arrive on the show.
With Park Dang-gu’s sister’s appearance and Seo Yul’s younger brother entering the scene, we also see Jang Uk’s departure from Songrim. To add on to this, Jang Uk and Mu-deok’s profiles now cancel each other out as fiance.

Jang Uk
Moving on, there are obviously some people who cannot resist visiting the set and sharing some goodies with the world. We are thankful for your hard work in giving us these treats. Now, these pictures from the set show the new Jang Uk who is not easy to deal with because just one stare is enough to slice you.

From the profiles, we know that Jang Uk is no longer a part of Songrim, but that is not all there is to it. He is actively chasing soul shifters at the moment, as seen in the preview for the next season. He is definitely angry and knows in his heart that someone was behind Mu-deok going wild. I bet he thinks that Mu-deok is dead and is now in complete revenge mode for his beloved.
He is an untouchable entity in the show who only focuses on fighting because love has left him in the shadows. Master Lee is the one he must have turned to in order to train and maybe his new home is no longer in the city but in Danghanggok.

Mu-deok
A few days back, Jung So-min’s Instagram story really caused chaos among fans when she shared an animated image of her character Mu-deok with the caption “Mu-deokie, where are you going”. While this created more speculations about her return to the show, nothing can be said about this news.
But there is no doubt that we are waiting for her to come back, be it Mu-deok or Jin Bu-yeon; she is a character who really needs to return so that we can get our closure. If she does return, then we can expect a badass Jin Bu-yeon to team up with Naksu to take down Jin Mu for everything that he has done. But her return can also create chaos for Jang Uk who will have a hard time with his heart.
There are many theories that are flying around social media about season 2, along with the eagerness of the fans that never fail to bring something new each day. As filming slowly comes to an end, which already did for many actors, we still have another 2 months to go before the show makes its return.
