Alchemy of Souls season 2 (Alchemy of Souls Part 2: Light and Shadow/ 환혼: 파트2) is the sequel of the Korean historical drama series directed by Park Joon-hwa and starring Lee Jae-wook, Jung So-min, Hwang Min-hyun, Shin Seung-ho, Yoo Jun-sang, Oh Na-ra and Jo Jae-yoon, alongside other cast members.
The sequel brings the story 3 years after the tragic ending we witnessed in season 1, and with Go Yoon-jung joining the cast as the new female lead. As Jang Uk becomes a hunter of the soul-shifters, a young woman, a prisoner in her own home, seeks his help to reclaim her freedom.
Episodes 5 and 6 have brought us halfway through this spectacular season and now Alchemy of Souls season 2 episodes 7 and 8 are ready to bring us another step closer to the end that will become unforgettable for us all. As war is soon to make its way to the show and Jin Mu’s plans are on their way to coming true, the following episodes are sure to keep us on our toes once again.
What more? Jin Bu-yeon is slowly getting closer to her truth and we can only say that episodes 7 and 8 have already got us eagerly waiting. So without further ado, here’s what to expect from Alchemy of Souls season 2 this weekend!
Alchemy of Souls Season 2: What to Expect in Episodes 7 and 8?
Alchemy of Souls season 2 episode 6 ended with a scene that brought mixed emotions to us all, while our hearts broke for Seo Yul, Jang Uk’s powerful aura was just as remarkable for us all. And with the way things are going, this week will be filled with excitement as Jang Uk is ready to barge into Cheonbugwan and get revenge for his dear friend.

Having found out about the bloodworm inside Seo Yul, he is sure to find a way to save his friend and what better way than to go to the person who brought this evil thing into their lives? As he rushes to find Jin Mu, Cheonbugwan is ready to not let Jang Uk enter, and what better way than to have the crown prince stand in front of him?
However, after the conversation Go Won has had with Bu-yeon in the previous episode, there are chances of him changing for the better and confessing his crimes to Jang Uk. But this is only a possibility so let us hope that this duo make up because there are some very big troubles waiting for them.
Meanwhile, Seo Yul’s life is in danger but this may also be the door for Bu-yeon to get her memories back. Seo Yul has been deeply etched in Naksu’s memory as a friend and surely seeing him in danger once again will bring back those lost memories.
On the other hand, the preview of the upcoming episode has shown Heo Yoon-ok getting her hands on an important clue which makes her attack Bu-yeon. And with all this, the preview ended with Jang Uk’s words as he describes Naksu’s eyes while Bu-yeon sees those very eyes in her own reflection.
The preview has given us a glimpse of some exciting scenes already, but there is more to what we can expect from these upcoming episodes. Episode 6 was amazing in more than one way and this is because of the hidden predictions for the upcoming episodes.
After a disastrous wedding in season 1 which was already hinted at in the scenes leading to it, we made sure to keep our eyes open this time. And what we came across is another wedding before which the bride is already asking the groom about whom would he save between her and the world.
As we all know that Jinyowon is a room filled with relics and this room is able to stand stably because of the firebird; however, Jin Mu is on a hunt for this very firebird which can make this room crumble. And seeing Kim Do-ju asking Park Jin if he would save her when in a scenario where she is stuck in a very dangerous room that can cause chaos in the world if left open, things are not looking bright for this couple.
While the future isn’t looking bright for this couple, our Bu-yeon and Jang Uk also seem to be moving towards a dead end as master Lee reveals that once Bu-yeon gets her memories along with her divine powers, the two are to clash and will lead to her death. And it is quite obvious that Jang Uk will get to know who she is and witnessing his love die a second time will definitely be a huge blow for him.

Altogether, the future, for now, seems bleak but let us hope that the writer doesn’t stand up to our negative expectations and give us the happy ending that we deserve.
Alchemy of Souls season 2 episode 7 is set to release on December 31, 2022, at 9:10 PM KST (7:30 PM IST) on Netflix.
Alchemy of Souls season 2 episode 8 will follow episode 7 the next day as it releases on January 1, 2023, at the same time.

They should bring back mudeok she is the biggest victim in this series she has not had the chance to be herself and play her own part as the pristess she has been used from the beginning of season 1 up until season 2 not fair

I believe everything that happened in the last scenes of episode 6 happened for a reason because if what happened to So-i had not happened, buyeon might have met a dead end as Seo-yul has thought. With the look of things, I see jang UK now has reasons for him to get involved in the world crisis that is about to start. I just hope for the movie to have a happy ending as I really came bear it if naksu has to died the second time.

Honestly, the UK and Naksu couple deserves a happy ending, the two has suffered a lot and we can’t heal seeing them go in ruins again
