Alchemy of Souls season 1 has finally come to an end and it has been an adventure to never forget. Starring Lee Jae-wook, Jung So-min, Hwang Min-hyun, Shin Seong-ho, alongside other cast members, the Kdrama is created by Park Joon-hwa, Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran.
The series revolves around Jang Wook and Naksu aka Mu-deok, residents of the fictional country of Daeho, whose shortcomings get eradicated when they invariably come into each other’s lives. Naksu, an elite warrior trapped in the weak body of Mu-deok, becomes Jang Wook’s servant and secret teacher and helps him become better than the rumours that follow him.
Netflix describes the series as:
A POWERFUL SORCERESS IN A BLIND WOMAN’S BODY ENCOUNTERS A MAN FROM A PRESTIGIOUS FAMILY, WHO WANTS HER HELP TO CHANGE HIS DESTINY.
Alchemy of Souls Ending Explained
Alchemy of Souls episode 20 was the storm that was bound to come in order to pave the way for season 2. With the story of Mu-deok coming to an end and Naksu returning to her body, the season has brought us back to the starting point that we had almost forgotten because Jung So-min is just that awesome.
Now coming back to the ending of the finale episode, Jin Mu gains control over Mu-deok after confirming her to be the soul shifter Naksu. He is desperate to prove his worth to the crown prince and the way to stop Jang Uk from leaving the capital is by causing chaos through Mu-deok.

He wants to destroy Songrim and also wants to whitewash the image of himself and there is no better way than letting someone else take the blame in his stead. He also needs to get rid of Jin Woo-tak before he reveals Jin Mu’s secrets which makes him see Naksu as his newfound hope.Netflix Films Day 2022 Announcement: The Archies, Jogi and Many More

The compelled Mu-deok has no choice as she creates havoc around Sejukwon, and then fights against Jin Cho-yeon and Park Dang-gu who have come to meet Jin Woo-tak. However, the two are unable to stop her as she kills Jin Woo-tak.
Jin Mu then takes this chance to push the blame onto Songrim and Jang Uk and rushes to show his righteous character to everyone. I’m surprised how no one noticed the bells in his hand, though it must have been because there were bigger matters that took away their attention.
Park Jin then rushes to Mu-deok and shoots an arrow at her but with the intervention of Jang Uk, he has to stop. However, he is stabbed by Mu-deok and he knows that there is something wrong with her. This was really a heartbreaking scene but it is clear that Jang Uk does not blame her and instead calls her name.

And we see that his love for her is so strong that even the sorcery of the bells breaks as Mu-deok realises what she has done. On the other hand, Jin Mu’s plan worked out well as he succeeds in what he wanted to do. He has finally turned the royal family against Songrim.

On the other hand, Jang Uk is given a funeral worthy of a criminal who helped the assassin Naksu. While his loved ones are unable to do anything but mourn in silence for him, master Lee believes that this cannot be the end for the King’s star.
And the show takes this chance to once again bring out its amazing computer graphics and the flames of his cremation turn blue and amaze everyone, especially when Jang Uk comes back to life and looks ready to take matters more seriously.

On the other hand, Mu-deok has realised what she has done and standing at the place known as the soul shifter’s grave she jumps into the lake to meet her end. But this amazing character cannot die so easily as two people jump in to save her.
And like this, the season ends because there is a whole counterattack plot that is ready to come in the next season. Alchemy of Souls season 1 set the foundation for the change that is about to take place in Daeho as the King’s star reappears to change history once again.
This ending was bound to happen because at the end of the day Jang Uk loves Naksu and she is a soul shifter who is always in danger of going wild. Now, with her going back to her real body, the story will only get more exciting.
The excitement for Nasku’s (Go Yoon-jung) return is one to look forward to because she was the one who started this story and seeing her badass self in her real body will be worthwhile.
We can keep our hopes up for Alchemy of Souls season 2 because this show has just gotten started.
So let us wait for December to come with another amazing season of our beloved show.

That was one of the most exciting series that I have ever seen, really the South Korean and the Chinese are way ahead of the whole world making beautiful series. I just saw Ashes of Love, Eternal Love and The King’s Affection and I’m absolutely hooked on asian tv series. Keep up that amazing work guys !!!
Tye character Jang Uk and Mu-deok are best suit for each other why bring back bad ass naksu?
Although I don’t like some Korea movie but this is the most interesting Korean movie I’ve ever seen especially Jang Uk and Mo-deoukare best suit for the movie
But,how can Naksu go back to her real body?…Thought her body was burnt by Jin Mu?…Since Mudeok was saved from getting drowned, i think the season 2 will even be more interesting if Naksu continue living Mudeok’s body, just as Lady Jin also wants to find out if Mudeok is her presumed dead Daughter(Bu Yeon)….I just dont like the fact that Jung So Min will not be a cast in season 2,cuz she is a good actor & i believe she & Lee Wook made that movie very interesting. its my first time of watching her & love her already…Am a Nigerian.
I like to see Jang Uk and Mu Deok are keeping together all the way. That is so sad to see what happened. I dont like the sad movie.
