Agent Elvis Trailer: King of Rock and Roll is a Superspy Going On an Adventure

Agent Elvis trailer was launched today, and viewers are excited to see how the music legend is now a spy in the upcoming animated series. Blending 007 vibes and a rockstar’s life, the newly released trailer hints at what we can expect in the series created by Elvis’ ex-wife, Priscilla Presley and director John Eddie.

The official Netflix description of the animated series reads,

Elvis trades in his jumpsuit for a jetpack when he joins a secret government spy program to help battle the dark forces that threaten the country.

The showrunner of the series is Mike Arnold, and Sony Pictures Animation produces it. The executive producers are Matthew McConaughey, Kevin Noel, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, Ben Kalina, Jamie Salter, Corey Salter, and Marc Rosen, with Fletcher Moules. Most importantly, Matthew McConaughey voices as Elvis Presley, and we didn’t know we needed that, but we do.

The trailer clearly shows that Agent Elvis, which was previously known as Agent King, will show Elvis Presley as a rockstar by day and spy by night. The quirky aspect of the series will make Elvis’ fans extremely happy because the legend who left the world too soon is now seen in an animated series, that too, as a wacky chap.

A still from the animated series “Agent Elvis”

The outfits represent the 1960s and 1970s, which undeniably shows the style of Elvis Presley. Moreover, the action scenes feel like we’re witnessing Elvis in John Wick replacing Keanu Reeves. There are some hilarious instances in the trailer, like Elvis meeting President Richard Nixon and shaking hands with him. As we know, the president was caught in a huge scandal in 1974, so why was Elvis with him? Let’s watch it in the upcoming series.

The trailer shows us that the rockstar is becoming a spy, but why is still unknown. Apart from that, what his missions will be and the rest of the featuring roles are also not shown. The trailer glanced at the storyline but maintained curiosity by cutting down essential scenes. Also, the series is going to be bloody, so watch out.
