Adamas (아다마스) is a thriller-mystery Korean drama series directed by Park Seung-woo and stars Ji Sung in the lead double roles of Ha Woo-sin and Song Su-hyeon, along with Seo Ji-hye and Lee Soo-kyung in lead roles. The series takes over tvN’s Wednesday-Thursday 10.30 PM KST timeslot previously occupied by Eve. Adamas episode 10 has a runtime of 67 minutes.
Disney+ describes the series as:

Adamas episode 10 starts in the past with Lee Jun-kyung introducing himself to Chang-woo. After he trips Jun-kyung to the ground, Chang-woo asks him to remind the chairman not to worry and that he has kept the secret for 15 years. Jun-kyung, however, is there for another purpose – he wants Chang-woo to steal the Adamas and he wants to help him.
Back in the present in prison, Jun-kyung threatens to murder Woo-sin as well if he doesn’t spill the beans on where the real arrow is at. Unfortunately, Chang-woo dares him to go through with that threat and asks him whether the chairman has forgotten him. Before walking away, he asks him to find out whether Su-hyeon is really dead first.
Back at SIH HQ, Su-hyeon is running down the corridor to the safe house. Unfortunately, he is too late, and Sun takes off with her with Su-hyeon in hot pursuit. He tries his best to keep an eye on the car and even manages to pin the car down with his own, but when dealing the final blow, Sun brings Seo-hee out of the window, after which Su-hyeon veers off, and Sun goes off with Seo-hee.
Sun, meanwhile, is annoyed when she learns that Jun-kyung wants Seo-hee alive.
Su-hyeon is not taking this lying down and goes to Ares to handle this himself. Unfortunately, though, it turns out to be a trap, and Su-hyeon gets blown up again but is still alive. Meanwhile, Sun asks Seo-hee to show her the way into SIH HQ, and when she refuses, Sun sighs in relief and, in an almost childlike manner, mentions that she won’t kill him even if she begs her to.
At Haesong, Ms Kwon hands over the guest list to the chairman, who asks her to remove the attorney general and invite Woo-sin instead – his memoir will be unveiled that day, so it’s only fair that the writer comes. He enquires why she cut off the tree but is satisfied with her generic “bad energy” excuse. Interestingly, he mentions that anything, regardless of how long it has been there, should be gotten rid of if it brings in bad luck. Although Ms Kwon agrees with him, the tension in the room is through the roof.

On the other hand, Tae-sung is confused to see that his satellite phone is nowhere to be found. He immediately gets to investigate the next day and goes through the tapes to find out who did it. Meanwhile, Hye-soo and Ms Yoo have a stare-down in a dress shop wherein Hye-soo gets a call from Mr Jeong, who is getting mocked by Sun for letting Su-hyeon and Seo-hee escape.
At Haesong, in the midst of Tae-sung and Woo-sin discussing Mr Kim and the disappeared phone, a surprise guest comes to visit from the head office. Tae-sung rushes off to handle the predicament while Woo-sin searches for Mr Kim. Unfortunately, Tae-sung finds him first and slaps him right across the face after asking him where the bag is. When he refuses to cooperate, Tae-sung straight-up knocks him unconscious.
Tae-sung surmises that the guest who has come is here to meet Mr Kim. However, while the two of them sit around wondering about this, Jang Eui-don meets Ms Kwon, and he has some interesting information for her. Meanwhile, Tae-sung is in for a rude awakening when he and Woo-sin learn that Security Guard Park is the one who has the bag, not Mr Kim.

He asks them what is going on, and without going down the path of another physical altercation, Woo-sin tells him that they’re smuggling opium. Mr Park isn’t really taking it and directly asks them whether they are with the SIH.
Meanwhile, Jun-kyung goes to meet the Chairman after the latter asks him. The moment he realises that his jig is up, he starts apologising, and his car comes rushing towards him. He lives for the moment while Mr Park turns out to be another member of the SIH. Unfortunately, the fight then moves to whether or not they should murder Mr Kim and Woo-sin refuses to let them harm him.
A tense moment between Hye-soo and Hyun-jo comes up wherein she almost tells him that she knows that the chairman killed Min-jo, but stops herself just in time. When she’s alone in her room, she sees how she went through the helicopter crash report and realised that none of the people involved with it really was punished in any way.

At Haesong, unfortunately, Mr Park does end up killing Mr Kim and puts it down to drug intoxication from the poppies. Ms Kwon orders him to cover it up, and in a flashback, Woo-sin remembers Park suffocating Mr Kim to death.
In what I think is the most shocking and crazy twist of Adamas, Jun-kyung tells Hyun-jo that after the election gets over, they will plan a terrorist attack which they can use to wipe out all of their opposition. And for that, they will use Seo-hee as the poster child. Hyun-jo seems rather pleased with the plan as we see Mr jeong going to meet Seo-hee and Sun.
The latter is beating the crap out of Seo-hee, and she tells her that they are planning to blow up SIH, and she will be carrying the deed out. Seo-hee, obviously, refuses to do so, but Sun asks her whether she wants to bet on it.
Adamas Episode 10 Ending
As the days tick down to the night when everything will go down, everyone gets ready to carry out their respective deeds. On D-day, Su-hyeon finally wakes up in the hospital while Seo-hee lies panting on the floor, with blood dripping down her head. In the hospital, Su-hyeon and Hyuk-pil decide to go their separate ways after the latter refuses to help him find Seo-hee.
Later on, when Su-hyeon gets ready to go to the office, he finds the Haesong invitation on his car’s windshield and makes his way to the grand ceremony. At the ceremony, things seem calm for the most part until Hye-soo tells Woo-sin that she knows that he’s working with the SIH. The look on his face is something to witness!
As Seo-hee, strapped with bombs, enters the SIH headquarters, Hye-soo offers to help Woo-sin and then cryptically mentions Seo-hee’s name.
Adamas Episode 10 Review
I am truly obsessed with how well Adamas is going – there’s nothing more interesting than a show that uncovers something interesting in every episode without going over the top and remains believable till the end.
Adamas episode 10 has a lot going on, but nothing that will make you feel like this is impossible. It’s very much possible, and that’s the charm of the show. It’s so shocking most of the time but chillingly effective since it leaves you wondering whether this can happen to you.
I loved the subtle backstory of Jun-kyung and why he desperately wants Chang-woo to live. Although we didn’t go into the story of it, the series gives us enough to make us wonder what the next step would be after this shocking revelation.
Meanwhile, Woo-sin and Su-hyeon continue to fight the same but different battles in order to reach their true goal. Woo-sin’s plan, I feel, is definitely not going to work out. There will be some problems wherein something else will happen. On the other hand, Su-hyeon trying to find Seo-hee, clearly, is not going according to plan. Hyuk-pil will definitely have to pay with his life for these incorrect decisions one after the other.
