Neha Dhupia’s upcoming project A Thursday is ready to arrive on our screens soon. The talented actress was last seen in Pradeep Sarkar’s Helicopter Eela, sharing the screen with Kajol and, Kanishk Varma’s 2021 film Sanak. In both films, Dhupia shinned incredibly making us fall in love with her every time. With the arrival of her latest thriller, fans are excited to see the actress don on a new character, especially because the film was shot when Dhupia was going through her second pregnancy.

A Thursday trailer is intense, giving us a glimpse of a pregnant Neha Dhupia playing the role of ACP Catherine Alvarez. Dhupia is seen as a headfast, logical woman in the line of duty putting in everything to get the hostage situation under control. Referencing a similarity between Dhupia and, Carey Mulligan during the shooting of Netflix’s limited series Collateral, Leisurebyte asked the actress about her journey and, what went in while working during her pregnancy.

Neha Dhupia said, “I was the one who took this upon myself that I am going to shoot. The offer was made to me and, the opportunity was not taken away from me, in fact, it was handed over to me. We shot one or two days around November 2020 and then, due to the second wave and the pandemic, it took us seven months to get back, although it feels like yesterday. And, I still remember disclosing to Behzad without any expectations about my pregnancy and, he didn’t bat an eyelid and, he was like are you sure you’ll be able to do it? and, I replied, yes, 100%

“Then, I went on to set and, everybody around you is so careful and cautious. You have to go out of your way to make sure that you perform to the T and, you need to work on caution but, not even for a minute let anyone know, feel, at least get an inkling that you aren’t as capable as you were when you were hired. But, always say that your pregnancy never makes you weaker, it only makes you stronger. A pregnant woman is always the strongest woman in a room full of people.”

When asked about her feelings towards setting a benchmark and inspiring women on working during their pregnancy if they want to, Dhupia mentioned, “We try. The intention of me trying is not that every woman who is eight months pregnant should be going out there and, making the mark for herself and, being in a place of work. My only message to convey is that every person out there should just be themselves.

“This is who I am! I am eight months pregnant. I wanted to go out to work. I wanted to give it my 200%. I wanted to make sure that everything goes well. Now, if you decide to stay at home, it doesn’t make you better or worse, it makes you who you are! So, I want people to just be themselves and, that’s the only thing that is going to take you places.”
