A Shop For Killers Episodes 1 and 2 Recap
In episode 1, we are introduced to Ji-an as she is being hunted in her childhood home by unknown assassins who are hell-bent on murdering her. Confused about what is happening, she remembers her uncle’s instructions and faces her fears, eventually finding her uncle’s hidden rifle under the couch and shooting a sniper far away on an overlooking bridge. We eventually also learn of her uncle’s tragic passing and how she is now an orphan with no one in her family to lean on. However, she does have a friend to support her. But before she can process this sudden grief, she comes face to face with danger that she must now save herself and her friend from.
In episode 2, we see Ji-an’s childhood after Jin-man suddenly comes back into her family’s life. His arrival ends in her grandmother’s death and then her parents’ murders at the hands of her uncle’s enemies. Although she, too, could’ve ended up dead, she was able to get away thanks to her innate skills. Unfortunately, it had a profound impact on her later on that rendered her unable to speak. Eventually, she gets over this predicament on her own, which helps her create a bond with her uncle, who cares for her deeply in his own way. In the present, however, as she faces a life-or-death crisis, she taps into her training and decides to defend herself and her friend from a hoard of killer drones!
