A Perfect Story: Will Sparks Fly in the Romantic Spanish Series? Cast, Release Date and More About the New Title

A Perfect Story is hard to come by, especially with the incessant showers of OTT titles dropping every other day. However, Netflix’s plans of keeping the monthly calendar jam-packed has also turned out to be a lively affair for cinematic content buffs, who just can’t go on about their day without sipping their tea while tuning into some new story on their screens.

Bringing to us another romantic saga in the guise of a Spanish limited TV series titled Un Cuento Perfecto this week, director Chloe Wallace’s show will make sparks fly in a new rom-com setup. Weddings are serious affairs which equally fill the people partaking in it with dreadful anxieties. Developing cold feet before the big life-changing event is but a natural step in the process, but sometimes things take a wild turn. If you want to find out whether this plot twist turns out in the favour of our protagonist or not, you’ll have to tune into the series releasing soon.

A Perfect Story Cast

Starring Anna Castillo and Alvaro Mel as Margot and David respectively, the series will be led by the duo as the titular main characters. Joining them, Ingrid Garcia Jonsson, Ana Belen, Lourdes Hernandez, Mario Ermito, Jimmy Castro, Tai Fati, Lydia Pavon and others will take the narrative to greater heights.

A Perfect Story Plot/Storyline

Based on a book, the series sets off with an all too familiar plot. Its teaser itself lays down the foundation by kicking off the video with visuals of Castillo’s Margot rushing off in a hurry. Putting on sneakers underneath her fluffy white wedding dress, with a dumbstruck expression saying it all, she gets ready to take the leap. Other women walk into the room with their equally starry dresses for the big event, but Margot clearly has different plans for the day, and jumps off her room (nothing to worry about there).

Despite having taken the plunge, she continues to live in denial about having done that – running away from her own wedding. In a parallel scene, Alvaro’s David is off living a completely different type of life, but also seems to be distancing his ties with his lover. And let’s not forget Margot stealing the golf cart to escape from her own wedding, because, yes, that happened too.

The plot entails the two main characters living on the extreme ends of the social spectrum to cross paths. While Margot is an heiress to a hotel empire, David pushes himself to make ends meet by working three jobs. Despite their lives being worlds apart, they’re about to crash into each other following this circumstantial mess.

Eventually, they find a safe haven in each other’s company and realise that only they can help each other get back with the love of their lives. But, are they really going to help each other retrace their steps back to what they left behind, or will they end up finding love elsewhere? Maybe, with each other instead, like Charlie Day and Jenny Slate did in I Want You Back?
