A comedy holiday movie franchise that began in 1983, birthing Peter Billingsley’s avatar of Ralphie, is now set to release its third installment A Christmas Story Christmas, marking his adult self’s anticipated return to his house on Cleveland Street. Co-starring Erinn Hayes and Zack Ward, the movie has been directed by Clay Kaytis. The original movie was based on the writings of Jean Shepherd.
Other than the ’83 original, the Christmas Story also has a musical remake that was televised on Fox in 2017 titled A Christmas Story Live!, which was inspired by the 2012 musical on Broadway.

The teaser of the upcoming movie promises the release of a soon-to-be-released full official trailer. Glimpsing into Ralphie’s old house and all the belongings therein, the teaser leaves us wanting more. A car pulls into his old house’s street, hinting that the wait is finally over. In the background, a child can be heard yelping for help and calling out to their dad while a photo frame with three young kids’ picture together is revealed.
A much older and grown-up Ralphie aka Peter Billingsley’s visage is revealed, but barely. The first footage doesn’t leave us with much, except looming suspense about what the new chapter will have in store for us. Since the upcoming film will have his character coming back to a part of his past where he made quite a few heartwarming memories as a child, it’s likely to pick up with Ralphie reconnecting with his roots and reuniting with all his past acquaintances, while coming to terms with the changes that have shaped his new years of life.
Putting on his signature pair of glasses, Ralphie is bound to take us on a merry nostalgic ride this holiday season. With the Parkers’ room mirroring its vision in the 1983 film, the sequel is going to hit all the right notes this Christmas and make for a joyful event.
