Bigg Boss 20 Episode 8: There was technically no elimination in the first Bigg Boss Season 20, but calling it a calm episode would be a lie.
Bigg Boss Season 20 Episode 8: “Weekend Ka Vaar”
This season has decided that every contestant gets two lives, giving “who will go home this weekend?” anxiety a different outfit. Nobody walked out of the house this time; however, Uditi Singh lost one of her lifelines after getting the least number of votes among the nominated contestants. The second-life gimmick stopped feeling like just a new format and started feeling like an actual warning.

Uditi now has only one life left, with Kanika Mann in the same boat, who lost her lifeline after Yung DSA took it away her lifeline when he became the captain. Both women are now on the edge, and if either of them gets nominated again and has the least number of votes, they will have to pack their bags and bid goodbye. This makes the game a little more interesting.
The Bigg Boss 20 “Weekend Ka Vaar” episode itself moved between games, Salman Khan handing out reality checks and the housemates doing what Bigg Boss housemates do best: taking a relatively small issue, adding several layers of personal history, ego and turning it into a full-blown house situation. The real drama began when Salman Khan left.
Bigg Boss 20 Episode 7: The Weekend Ka Vaar That Set the Mood
Before getting into the Episode 8 mess, it is impossible to ignore how much Qazi Touqeer has become one of the season’s natural entertainment centres.
During Saturday’s “Weekend Ka Vaar”, Salman Khan opened by talking about Bigg Boss 20 becoming the biggest opening for a reality TV show and thanked the audience for the response. While the episode had plenty of serious conversations, there was also room for the house’s obvious chief entertainer.

Qazi was praised as a “rockstar” for being the entertainment element while also for his resilience and determination in life. Housemates themselves acknowledged how much entertainment he brings into the game. Salman Khan had the contestants do a task where several of them ended up naming Qazi as the boss of the house.
While opening the episode, Salman Khan had even mentioned Afghan Jalebi, the Phantom movie song that stars Qazi Touqeer. Thanks to Qazi, the song found itself trending again, which is honestly a wonderfully chaotic Bigg Boss side effect itself.
Even the Aman Gandhi- Aasif Khan confrontation from the episode became one of those moments that the housemates and viewers seemed to find increasingly funny as it proceeded.

It did not, of course, become a comedy sketch: it was a fight, but the way Aman and Aasif dealt with it, followed by Qazi stepping in, gradually turned the entire thing into something that had the house laughing at some points. Qazi indeed has the ability to enter into chaos and make it more entertaining.
Rhiti Tiwari Finally Talks About “Being Rhiti”
One of the more emotionally interesting portions of Episode 8 came from Rhiti Tiwari. The burden of a family name can be a strange thing. From the outside, it can look like “privilege, recognition, and opportunity”, but from the inside, it can become a cage.
Rhiti, after Salman Khan left in Sunday’s episode, spoke about how she has always felt expected to behave a certain way because of the family name and her father’s name attached to her. However, behind all the expectations is an individual who is different altogether.

This conversation also connected back to something Salman Khan told her during Ravivar Ka Vaar: that she needs to open up and understand that her individuality belongs to her and does not have to perform a predetermined version of herself simply because people expect it.
Perhaps the most revealing part was Rhiti admitting to the housemates that she has been holding herself back because she has been accustomed to doing that which felt important.
The struggle here is not simply about being shy but about figuring out where the public expectation ends, and her own personality begins.
Amrapali vs Arishfa: When a Comment Becomes BIG
Then came the fight: Amrapali Dubey admitted that she feels scared while talking to Arishfa Khan and Uditi Singh, and as these conversations happen inside the Bigg Boss house, that statement did not remain a statement for long.
The conversation escalated to Amrapali calling Arishfa a hypocrite. Arishfa later brought up Amrapali’s comment about her being from a “short platform” and appeared visibly agitated while discussing it in front of other housemates, breaking down. She spoke about how she is a person who earns for her family and how many people make money through that medium. This is where the conversation became bigger.

Amrapali accused Arishfa of speaking against “parvarish” and “sanskaar”, and suddenly what could have remained an argument about two people’s differing opinions and not getting along became a conversation about upbringing, respect, work, class and the way someone perceives others’ profession or platform.
This was perhaps the messiest fight of the episode because nobody was really arguing about just the original sentence anymore.
Aman Gandhi vs Yung DSA: The Fight that Somehow Came Up
During an interaction with Salman Khan, Aman spoke about an incident involving Aasif and described Yung as a nice guy who made a bad joke. Yung clearly did not appreciate that and later confronted Aman and questioned what exactly was bad and why he brought him into the conversation.
The exchange got increasingly heated, with Yung telling Aman:
“Tu joke sunne ko nyi tha toh bajj matt” (transl.: don’t speak if you were not present to hear the joke).

Aman then called Kanika over and asked whether she laughed at the joke. Kanika clarified that she had not, but also tried to stop the situation from becoming a bigger fight, pointing out that they did not need to fight over something that was not even their matter.
Final Verdict
Bigg Boss 20 Episode 8 was not necessarily built around one big fight or a giant moment, but it worked through several smaller conflicts, emotional conversations and game developments that slowly made the house uncomfortable.
Rhiti’s conversation was easily one of the more human moments because behind all the screaming and strategy are the people trying to figure out how much they know themselves, and Rhiti opened up about suppressing her true self. The Amrapali-Arishfa fight brought the usual Bigg Boss chaos around “parvarish”, “sanskaar”, hypocrisy and personal digs.

Then there is Qazi Touqeer casually becoming the entire entertainment department all by himself.
No elimination, many arguments, a few games, two contestants with a single life, and a house that became louder after Salman Khan left: that was pretty much the Bigg Boss energy, except for the fact that nobody was scolded or given a proper class on this first Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar.
- Who was eliminated in Bigg Boss Season 20’s first week?
- No one, because the concept of two lifelines saved Uditi Singh, who received the fewest votes for eviction.
- Who has a single lifeline now?
- Kanika Mann, whose one lifeline was taken away by Yung DSA when he became the captain, and Uditi Singh, because she received the fewest votes this week.
