On the other side, trusting her instincts, Eun-jo searches along the shore and finally finds Yi Yeol washed up, unconscious but alive. She hears a faint heartbeat and immediately carries him to the nearby leprosy camp. Over there, she gives him the basic medication that’s available and instructs one of her friend to meet Hae-rim in the town and convey about the need for medicines.

News about Yi Yeol reaches Hae-rim and Dae-chu and the two rush with all the necessities. As Yi Yeol regains consciousness and the two have a fragile and tender moment, Dae-chu and Hae-rim enter in. Thinking Yi Yeol is inside Eun-jo’s body, Hae-rim pampers Yi Yeol only to realise that they both are back into their original bodies. Yi Yeol realises how much betrayal is going behind him and plans to end Sa-hyeong’s cruelty.

While Yi Yeol takes time to recover, Seung-jae grows more confident, believing the Grand Prince is dead. The King keeps Lady Jang alive but inflicts cruel torture for her past attempt to poison him. Just as Seung-jae feels his pride peak, Yi Yeol returns dramatically. The look on his face is to be appreciated.

Seung-jae is promptly arrested. During interrogation, Im Sa-hyeong doesn’t give a damn about abandoning his son. He even calls him a criminal who deserves execution. This betrayal crushes Seung-jae. Yet, Sa-hyeong’s cruelty does not stop there. He forces his son into taking his own life to ensure silence and protect his own status. When news of Seung-jae’s death reaches Jae-i, he is heartbroken.

Following Seung-jae’s death, Sa-hyeong turns to Jae-i and demands loyalty. He asks him to kill Yi Yeol and this doesn’t sit well with Jae-i as he knows Eun-jo loves Yi Yeol and the latter also is a great protector of the woman he loves. Meanwhile, Yi Yeol learns about the rebels planning to kill the King and he strictly tells that he will not let the rebels do that and that he will find a way to end things properly.

Jae-i then finds evidence on the King’s assassinator and believes it is Yi Yeol. As Jae-i questions Yi Yeol, Eun-jo enters the chamber and turns herself in as Gil Dong and the episode ends with Jae-i looking confused and Yi Yeol baffled.
