Nice to Not Meet You Episode 12 Review: Hyun-jun is Adamant About His Feelings

Hyun-jun tries to mend his situation with Jeong-sin. She, however, refuses to listen to him as she feels betrayed.

The series is set to air on tvN from 3 November 2025 to 23 December 2025 and takes over the Monday-Tuesday timeslot previously occupied by Shin’s Project.

This episode begins, and Jeong-sin is absolutely devastated by Hyun-jun’s confession. She did not think that he would do something like this, and she became very awkward in front of him. Hyun-jun also relentlessly confesses his love to her and tells her that she can take it easy. However, it is easier said than done, and Jeong-sin becomes completely baffled by the situation.

She went home but could not stop thinking about what had just happened, and became so frazzled that she could not even sleep. Thus, she goes for a run and becomes even more embarrassed when she remembers how candidly she talked with Hyun-jun. She also showcased her fangirl side without stopping herself, and this becomes a matter of shame for her.

Hence, after being unable to calm herself, Jeong-sin goes to Hyun-jun’s house to talk to him. There, while confronting him, she faints and falls asleep on his couch out of exhaustion. In the meantime, we see that Hwa-young and Jae-hyung are getting closer, as previously, Jae-hyung took her to see her child, who got hurt. Back to Hyun-jun, he takes a very important call from his shoot, and he asks his manager to clear his schedule. Though at first the manager says no, he eventually relents and gives Hyun-jun a free day.

But after that, Jeong-sin wakes up, and she confronts him directly. They bicker and fight again, and this time she angrily goes off to her home, refusing to take any help from Hyun-jun. He realises the gravity of his situation, and he thinks of all the ways he can utilise to win Jeong-sin back. Even in the office, Jeong-sin stays agitated and works with sheer grit. She comes home even angrier because she got fooled, but also because she can’t help but remember Hyun-jun and his confession all the time. She also imagines all the dramatic situations that can happen if people get to know that she’s dating Hyun-jun.

At the shooting, Hyun-jun makes mistakes because he is distracted. Later, Jeong-sin calls him to set up a meeting, and this is why, from then on, Hyun-jun becomes absolutely useless in the shoot. He makes frequent blunders. However, in the end, Hyun-jun finally sets his heart straight and does his job flawlessly. After that, he goes to meet Jeong-sin at a coffee shop.

Back at the shooting, Hyun-jun’s mother and Jae-hyung’s mother come together to shoot for a scene where they must fight. This mock fight soon turns into an actual brawl, and the shoot gets stopped midway. This obviously causes a huge ruckus, and Hyun-jun gets called back to the shooting as soon as possible. On top of this, Hyun-jun also gets a sudden panic attack after an incident happens, and Jeong-sin becomes the only person to help him regain normalcy.

Nice to Not Meet You Episode 12 Review

I like today’s episode because it had many funny moments, but at the same time, I feel like there was an apparent lack of romantic moments. The relationship between Hyun-jun and Jeong-sin is not moving forward fast enough, and that is something that has been constant from the very beginning. I really hope that from the next episode, at least, they will further the romantic subplot, which is the most important aspect of this series.
