My Hero Academia Final Season Episode 3 Recap

The episode begins with a touching flashback of All Might reminiscing about his youth and the moments that pushed him toward becoming a hero. In a lighthearted detail, he’s shown singing the Anpanman theme song, subtly suggesting that the cheerful children’s hero once served as his inspiration. The story then moves to the present, where Stain appears just in time to save All Might from All For One, fighting alongside him. It’s clear now that Stain’s ideals have evolved to align with the heroes’, marking his full transition to their side.

Before they can strike, All For One unveils a disturbing technique; he manipulates his Quirk to drain his own blood and change its type. This revelation finally explains how he has evaded detection for so long. Despite their combined strength, All For One swiftly overpowers them, leaving All Might gravely injured. Yet even in defeat, All Might’s unwavering determination shines through, reaffirming why he remains the ultimate symbol of heroism.

Today’s episode begins with a backstory about All For One, and it goes deep into his psychology. It is shown how All For One was born as one of two fraternal twins to a suffering mother who spent her days drinking. From birth, All For One took everything within his reach, and he also took his mother’s powers and most of his brothers’ nutrition.

However, he also had a very strong sense of possession, and whatever belonged to him, he never let go. In his twisted mind, he always thought that his brother belonged to him and he could never get away from his care. On top of that, All For One’s cruelty started to reach new heights, and seeing this, Yoichi tried his best to stop his brother. Later, when Kudo tried to save Yoichi, All For One literally came and killed Yoichi because he did not want to let go of his ownership.

Though this part was really good and had many important moments, it was the second half that was absolutely brilliant. All For One sees Bakugo as the man who stole his brother from him, and that’s why he leaves all his plans behind just to defeat Bakugo. This was a profound moment where All For One sees Bakugo as a proper threat, and the final battle between Bakugo and All For One takes place here.

The way this fight ensues and goes on to its conclusion was also thrilling. We get to see a new form of All For One, but at the same time, we witness how much Bakugo has grown as a hero. The final moment was breathtakingly awesome with some insane animation quality, and I just want everyone to see it.
