Dr Stone Season 4 Episode 5 Recap
Kohaku and Chrome attempt to relay information to Senku, but he quickly warns them not to disclose too much, suspecting that their conversation might be monitored by the enemy. As a result, Senku and his allies deduce that Gen is likely feigning allegiance to the enemy while secretly working as a spy within their ranks.
Before long, Doctor Xeno makes direct contact with the Kingdom of Science. This interaction is both intense and humorous, as Xeno mistakenly refers to Doctor Taiju, leaving everyone bewildered. During this exchange, Xeno’s true intentions come to light. He reveals that his factory is capable of producing bullets indefinitely, giving his faction a limitless supply of ammunition and the ability to attack Senku’s team whenever they choose.

However, there’s a catch. While Xeno’s group possesses advanced weaponry, they lack the ability to reverse petrification. They are aware that survival over thousands of years requires nitric acid to restore humanity, but they do not have a working method to achieve this. Recognizing that the Kingdom of Science likely holds the key to de-petrification, Xeno proposes a negotiation where Doctor Taiju is to reveal the secret and align with him, in exchange for their safety.

Dr Stone Season 4 Episode 6 Review And Recap

Gen has tried to infiltrate the enemy base, thinking he might be able to get some important information out of them. However, in this episode, we understand that Stanley and Doctor Xeno are already suspecting Gen to be a possible spy. They are deliberately keeping him around so that they can get some information out of him. And there is a high chance they will get rid of him once they have enough data about the enemy. Thus, they plan the next best thing they can do, which is to plant their own spy within the Kingdom of Science.

Here, we get introduced to Luna, the self-proclaimed capable girl who is definitely not as calm or collected as she believes herself to be. It is apparent that she is gravely misplaced in her current situation as she is not evil like Doctor Xeno. She is also a bit airheaded and becomes quite shocked after finding out who actually doctor Taiju is.
In her mind, she thought all scientists were supposed to have an aura that Taiju clearly lacked. But what she and the audience did not expect was to see pretty boy Senku at work. He literally tries to woo Luna into spilling all the beans. But he does not stop there, as Senku also creates vanilla extract to make a delicious sweet treat for added help.

The tone of this episode was majorly very casual and humorous. In the beginning, we see things getting serious when Stanley hatches an elaborate plan to kill Doctor Taiju. But after that, when Luna gets introduced, the vibe becomes much more funny. However, towards the end, we get information that completely shocks us and gives the whole anime a new direction.
Verdict

Today’s episode was fun and entertaining, but, at the same time, it lacked the usual intensity of Dr Stone. It is apparent that this season has still not picked up its pace, and there is still time before any profound situation happens. I hope we can be serious soon cause the very frequent comedy is okay for now, but it will not work in the long run.
