Gangnam B-Side Episode 7 Recap

Episode 7 opens with Seo-jin telling Hak-gu that she wants to be more than just a puzzle piece working for him – she wants in on the entire plan. It becomes clear that she is very much into everything that is happening and isn’t just a mere spectator, however, is there more to her than meets the eye at the moment? Elsewhere, Gil-ho moves Dong-woo out of the way before facing off against K but before they are able to throw hands, the police show up and Gil-ho runs off with an injured Dong-woo.

Dong-woo asks Gil-ho for help to find Ye-seo, but the latter refuses to indulge him, asking him how it feels to lose someone you care about. K, meanwhile, tells Hak-gu that he wasn’t able to get rid of Dong-woo and the latter tells him to move the timetable up before they mess with things even more. Dong-woo, meanwhile, gets in touch Soo-in and begs her to let Ye-seo go, but she reiterates that all the girls are there on their own accord and refuses to help him in any way. However, he does get more information on K and decides to pursue that lead instead.

Dong-woo runs into Gil-ho at Club Hyena and the two of them go into the deserted club to figure out everyone’s whereabouts. They come across Psyche, who attacks Dong-woo before being tackled by Gil-ho. As they are about to finish him off, Psyche shows them the huge stash of drugs that leaves them both absolutely shocked. They lure K to the club while Ye-seo gets ready to take her revenge against the men who abused her friends.

Fortunately, Soo-in tells Dong-woo about Ye-seo’s whereabouts but Gil-ho refuses to go with him, opting instead to stay at Club Hyena to face off against K one way or another. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work out the way he plans. Elsewhere, Soo-in gets rid of the guard keeping an eye on them and instead tells them that they will not be going to the party, including Ye-seo. However, K gets there just then, stabbing Soo-in and taking the girls with him. Dong-woo gets there too late and is left in tears seeing Soo-in in that state.

However, Dong-woo finally gets to see the video, in which Hak-gu, Ju-il, Dae-sik and others are seen abusing a woman with horrifying consequences. He reaches out to Ji-su about the trials, who tells her that Seo-jin has been frequenting a biopharmaceutical company and has been acting strange. Dong-woo meets Hyun-kyung, who has already been briefed by Seo-jin, and she gives him everything that she has been collecting over the years about the pharmaceutical business and everything shady happening underneath it. He talks to Seo-jin and tells her to hold on until he gets there since Ye-seo is there and promises to hand the video over to her in return.

As it turns out, at the meeting, Seo-jin is shocked to find out that Hak-gu has come to a compromise with Ju-il, who might just be taking the seat of the Minister of Justice. Seo-jin is left seething but continues to do as she is told. Unfortunately, she realises that this “party” consists of more than signing contracts and a bunch of innocent women, including Ye-seo, will be injected with this drug. As Dong-woo rushes to save his daughter, Ye-seo is seen sitting behind the glass window looking worried.

Full of thrills and a lot of shocking moments, Gangnam B-Side episode 7 is absolutely thrilling. With a ton of things that can go wrong taking place simultaneously, everyone is a suspect. However, I think Ji Chang-wook’s character is the most interested and extremely underutilized and I can’t wait to watch the last episode to figure out whether or not he gets his revenge. It would be a pity if he was left tied up and helpless while Dong-woo does it all to save everyone. Either way, this was a thoroughly entertaining episode that will leave viewers shocked.
