Justice Review
The plot of the film revolves around a discharged police officer who is given a chance to make his return to the field. However, he needs to solve a bank raid case within two weeks to get this chance. Being known to be good at getting the truth out of people, he has been known that this is what he is good at. However, he soon realises that what he wants in his life is much more than returning to being a police officer.
The film begins with a bank robbery and murder case that shakes the city as three women fall victim to the incident. Olaf Lubaszenko plays the role of the discharged police officer who was a supporter of the communist government which resulted in his fall. However, his skills are undeniably good, and this is why he has been sought to help with the case.

Slowly, the film moves on to his solving the case, showing off his skills of being able to look through a person’s mask with ease. While he looks through the cover created by the culprits, his targets are breaking into cold sweats due to his pressurizing aura. Olaf creates a character whose wisdom and experience are clear to anyone who watches the film.
Meanwhile, he is also seen as someone who is slowly understanding how the world has changed and that his wish to return isn’t as important as he thought it was. While the film is lacking in crime and thrilling vibes, it shows the story of a man who is getting his wish and realising the weight of it.
The film clearly lacks the suspense and dark themes that we would look forward to, which has been a letdown. Often earning a look of boredom as we already know who the culprits are, Justice has been a disappointment for those expecting something. The film is more central to Olaf and his development as a person rather than a crime thriller that would have us excited.
On the other hand, the performance of the cast has been on point and a pleasure to watch. The cast has been able to bring out their characters to the best of their ability and ensured a smooth sailing of the plot given to them. The dark and gloomy background only adds to the overall vibe that brings in the feeling of a crime drama.

I have also liked how the characters have been written. How the criminals have been humanised can be a little contradictory for many, but seeing both sides of these people shows how hard it is to deliver justice. There is no proper way of delivering justice as criminals are also humans, but that doesn’t hide the fact that they have done something very wrong.
Altogether, while the performance of the cast has been beautiful, the plot could have been better in terms of it being a crime drama. It was too simple and almost boring as any essence of suspense was ripped off right at the beginning.
Summing Up
The film is easy to watch with intriguing characters, but it can be quite boring at times and make you wonder why on earth are you even watching it. The crime drama theme of the film can mislead many into thinking of it being any close to a thriller because there is absolutely none of that.
Overall, you can skip this one if you are looking for something that will keep you on your toes. But if you are looking into Olaf’s cool detective skills, then maybe you can check it out.
Watch Justice on Netflix.
