My Name is Gabriel Episode 10 Review: Dex and Gabee Bring the Calm and the Chaos!

My Name is Gabriel episode 10 brings the adventures of our last participants of this season- Dex and Gabee. Here, one is taken to the calm countryside where work keeps coming in, while the other goes to the vibrant Mexico City, where everything about her changes.

My Name is Gabriel brings celebrities to live the life of another person from anywhere in the world for 72 hours. As celebrities take up the name of another person from anywhere in the world, they spend their time as the said person while living their life. Promising a unique experience to the participants and viewers of the show, we are set for some entertaining content very soon.

My Name is Gabriel Episode 10 Recap

The new episode brings new Gabriels on the show- Dex and Gabee, who are ready to go on their adventures in the show. Beginning with Dex, he asks to go to someplace in Europe and is set to Tbilisi, Georgia, but his time as his Gabriel starts differently. Upon arriving in the city, he is whisked away in a tour group that takes him around before stopping at a wine-making place where an old man approaches him.

With this, Dex’s time as his Gabriel begins as he takes over the life of Rati who lives in the countryside with his parents, wife and children. He is surprised by the sudden start but soon adjusts to his role as he is given a warm welcome by Rati’s mother who soon sets up the food for the family. Dex is enthusiastic about his time in the countryside while the father brings a drink called chacha to the table and the two begin drinking.

Dex begins bonding with the parents at the dinner table surrounded by loads of food and drinks as he slowly gets drunk while toasting along with the father. Soon, he finds out that the people in front of him are his wife and children, which leaves him flustered, but he tries to make conversation with them. As the day goes by, the drinks keep coming and when the father toasts the ancestors; he gets teary remembering his grandfather who passed away recently.

He holds the father’s hand and remembers the moment he met him and held his hand which was similar to his grandfather’s hands. He continues to get close to the couple, but the ongoing drinks leave him drunk to the point that he forgets everything and begins enjoying the evening. Giving his Day 1 interview while drunk, he later retires to his room where he opens up some ramen in his room.

While watching it in the studio, he comments how he cannot recall eating ramen because of all the drinks that he had during the meal. After the meal, he falls asleep without changing his clothes or removing his hat and even puts on sunglasses after he forgets to switch off the lights. The next morning, he wakes up early as instructed by the father and begins the busy day ahead.

With this, Dex begins his day by helping the mother knead some dough, followed by helping the father clean the shed, milking the cows, feeding the pigs, herding the cows to graze the grass, making fresh cheese, baking some bread, chopping wood, and more. All this is completed before the afternoon and there is only more to come for Dex as he takes over his Gabriel’s life. With this, his adventures come to a pause as we move on to the next participant- Gabee.

As Gabee’s energy and enthusiasm take away everyone’s attention, she asks for a place where she can dance and have fun. With this, she is taken to Mexico City, Mexico, and with a Gabriel most unique on this show till now. Gabee is taken to live the life of Usiel, a 19-year-old boy and one who gives her not only a different identity but also a gender.

Picking her up at the airport is Usiel’s father who is just as shocked as her upon finding a woman in front of him, who will now be replacing his son. The two then head home where Gabee is shocked to find out that her Gabriel is a boy and that is how she will be living for the next 72 hours. She then plans to surprise the family at home who are not expecting a woman to arrive.

Upon reaching home, she covers herself and reveals herself in the most dramatic way possible to the mother and sister, who too are shocked upon seeing her. She is then taken to her room where she sees a set of drums and other instruments, making her realise that it will not be easy to fill in Usiel’s shoes.

As she tries to settle into her role, the mother calls her for a meal and she makes her way downstairs to feast on some delicious Mexican food. During the meal, she is told that she has a job to go to in the evening with a band that plays at the square. Post lunch, she returns to her room while her Mexican parents discuss their surprise over seeing her.

Meanwhile, Gabee opens up her luggage and begins dressing up Usiel’s little sister as she gives her clothes to the girl. Soon, it is time for the band to arrive and she puts on a wig as she prepares to surprise them too. The band soon settles in the living room and Gabee makes her way downstairs where the men are shocked to see that the new Usiel is a woman.

After the initial shock period passes by, the band gathers together to introduce themselves to her before explaining to her what she needs to know about her job. Soon, they head to the square where they play songs according to the audience’s request and get money from them for the same. Gabee is ready for this experience as she heads to the square with enthusiasm.

However, a sudden problem occurs when another band stands in front of the place they had already occupied, trying to make the younger ones move to another place. With this, the episode comes to an end as Gabee’s experience continues into the next episode.

The new Gabriels have arrived and we are set on a new adventure as Dex and Gabee take over the show with their experiences that are looking as intriguing as they can get. These two are the last to participate in this season of My Name is Gabriel, and they are making sure to bring about the best entertainment possible from Georgia and Mexico.

Dex brings about a simple yet busy countryside life to us all while Gabee’s energy in the vibrant city makes us excited and ready for some fun. The vibes brought by the two are surely different, but they can blend quite well within this one episode where we see two sides of the world altogether. The two are surely taking us on a beautiful end of this show and we are excited to see what happens next in their adventures.
