Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Episode 5 Recap

This episode was one of the funniest of the season, with much of the humour driven by Yuki. She’s not your typical sister character; instead, she’s a comedic whirlwind who isn’t afraid to push boundaries for a laugh.

The episode begins on a more serious note, with the protagonist reflecting on Alya’s words. Having experienced his parents’ broken marriage, he has a more grounded view of love than most high school students. As a result, he dismisses Alya’s confession as a misunderstanding.

However, the tone quickly shifts when Yuki and Kuze’s interaction takes centre stage. Things get even more chaotic when Kuze reveals his intention to support Alya’s bid to become student council president next year.

But Yuki isn’t the only standout in this episode. The following day at school, a tired Kuze finds himself in a humorous situation as he admires Alya’s armpits—a detail he secretly appreciates. He also manages to discreetly check out both Kujou sisters without them noticing. The episode concludes with the introduction of another intriguing female character, who happens to be the vice president and the girlfriend of the current student council president.

In this episode, we might see Kuze becoming more into the whole student council business. He should be quite adept with the duties as he seems quite experienced with these situations. Alya will love this as now her crush can stay with her longer. We might also see some romantic moments between the leads.
