Flex X Cop Episode 2 Recap

The episode unfolds with a flashback revealing I-soo’s agreement to join the police force, driven by his desire to save his elder brother’s reputation. When Seung-ju attempts to expose the truth about manipulating the story, I-soo enters wearing a cop uniform, pleasing his elder brother. The police station welcomes him with grandeur, featuring musicians and press coverage, although his colleagues, Kang-hyun and Jun-young, remain uninterested, except for Kyung-jin.

Undeterred by their indifference, I-soo disrupts the routine by hosting a dinner feast at the police station. He transforms his workspace, replacing his chair with a gaming chair and redesigning his desk into a gaming setup. Kang-hyun, frustrated, seeks to relegate I-soo to desk duty but faces a challenge as higher authorities demand the truth about falsely arresting I-soo and her resignation.

In an attempt to discourage I-soo, Kang-hyun assigns him mundane tasks, hoping he’ll walk away from the job. However, I-soo effortlessly completes the assignments, showcasing his resourcefulness. When a murder case arises, the team heads to the crime scene, and I-soo, leveraging his connections, gains access to the restricted area. Despite their initial exclusion, the three cops eventually join him but restrict his proximity to the corpse.

The victim, a model from a prestigious agency, appears to have been strangled, prompting the team to conduct an autopsy. Kang-hyun takes I-soo to the agency, urging him to gather information. Dismissing his findings, she leaves him on the street, leading I-soo to share his frustration with a friend who suggests his colleagues might be jealous. Motivated by the challenge, I-soo bets with Kang-hyun, vowing to uncover the murderer.

During the autopsy, I-soo experiences a panic attack, envisioning himself drowning and suffocating. Despite playing it off, he retains the resolve to find the killer. Reviewing the CCTV footage, I-soo identifies a man leaving the yacht alone after being with the victim, Ina. Despite sharing crucial information, his insights are dismissed. Recognizing a location in a photo, I-soo confronts the man, Taeyong, initiating a fight. Kang-hyun arrives to witness I-soo’s discovery, but trouble ensues as Taeyong’s men attack, setting the stage for I-soo and Kang-hyun to combat the assailants.
