Seems like in the upcoming episode, Annie’s case is going to get more light. We have a common symbol linking the present set of bodies to Annie’s case and, the detectives are following that hunch. Meanwhile, the mental health issues or the supernatural- whatever it is in this season will also get more screentime for exploration. The main characters are surely going to take some major blows of when it comes to being close to the lead but not close enough to actually catch it.
