The Tailor Season 3 Plot

Peyami returns to his hometown after distracting himself from Esvet’s memories by overworking in foreign countries. When he returns he learns that Dimitri and Esvet have decided to settle in New York, making things worse for him. Peyami and Esvet have an affair betraying Dimitri. When Dimitri finds out about it, both the best friends end up in the final war. Who will Esvet choose at the end remains the main question of this season!

The Tailor Season 3 Review

I don’t want to go into details regarding the plot because the trailer almost spoiled everything that’s going to happen in season 3 which is a huge bummer. However, the end still remains a mystery for the viewers to watch and find out. Coming to the different aspects of this series, it bugs me how the main leads, despite knowing they love each other, have their ego keep winning over and over again (annoying!).

Esvet and Peyami touching each other and immediately acting like saints give me icks and if this is how romance works, I’d gladly bail out. Almost all eight episodes had tense moments packed and more secrets being uncovered, making season 3 feel completely irrelevant. They should have ended with season 2 where Peyami’s parents reunite, Esvet and Dimitri finally get married and try to understand each other while Peyami gets rid of his emotions and focuses on work. Season 2 absolutely felt natural but the new season made the entire series’ wholesomeness trip and fall.

Speaking of the actors, they did a good job according to their roles. The main actors’ chemistry was insanely good and Dimitri played by Salih Bademci, aced his villain role (he isn’t really a bad man). Other actors like Olgun Simsek, the one who acted as Mustafa indeed need to be applauded as it isn’t easy to portray a mentally challenged character. Without hurting others’ emotions and ideologies, Simsek really well played his role.

Turkish series are loved for the way they showcase their country’s beauty and traditions. In The Tailer Season 3, it is bliss to see various locations of Turkey and how the Turkish people go about their daily lives. The portrayal of their food, beliefs, outfits, and such added value to the series. Moreover, we’re shown scenes in countries like New York, London, and other such exquisite places, making the series look high-budgeted.

The cinematography is done wonderfully and the editing team has also ensured the scenes are merged in a way that captures the moment’s intensity. For instance, in the very first episode when Peyami and Esvet look deep into their eyes, the camera focuses on each of their eyes to show the tension between them to kiss but thankfully they don’t because Dimitri comes in quickly after that. All these tiny tiny details enhanced the series’ presentation.

The Tailor Season 3 Final Thoughts

Though the eight episodes had every needed climax, cliffhanger, and other wow moments, the concept of this season didn’t sit well with me. As I said before, season 2 really had the best meaning to it when it ended. The woman who aided Peyami was a highlight in the previous season making the entire series highly memorable. Season 3 is absolutely unnecessary and it sort of normalises affairs and such relationships.

Hopefully, the director will not give another season and make the series feel like a complete waste. The Tailor Season 3 is streaming on Netflix. Let us know your thoughts about this season in the comment section.

  1. I disagree I think the triangle needed to be resolved, the story would have fell short since at the heart of it was this love story,

  2. I disagree I think the triangle needed to be resolved, the story would have fell short since at the heart of it was this love story,

  3. Season 3 is definitely a waste of time, watching a playboy chasing after a married woman, betraying his best friend. Come on this Turkey where religion culture is still strong. I think no need to continue with Season 4, as I don’t see it can end up with happy ending.

  4. The marriage between the most obnoxious male character on tv and the woman he abused and despised is indescribably absurd. More absurd he thinks she is nappy and loves him. Makes the entire far-fetched series not worth watching, or more exactly, unwatchable.

Netflix’s Ladies First arrives with a provocative premise and a talented cast, but the gender-swap comedy struggles to deliver sharp satire.
