The Adventures of LLeo Review

The story of rags to riches is something that gives a tragic spin to a story but, have you ever wondered about what it would be like to go from riches to rags? Well, this TSP series gives us the lens to view the story from the opposite perspective which only adds elements of fun and hilarity to the series. Given the kind of love Permanent Roommates’ Leo has received, it is only natural that viewers would want to invest in his journey and follow him through.

The Adventures of LLeo starts by showing us how established and lavish life Leo is living. He is a billionaire, accidentally, of course, but, has everything on his fingertips. Until he does not. A scam, a generic internet one, finds him and before we know it Leo has lost all the riches that he has been living off. With everything gone, Leo struggles to find a footing in his life, albeit with doses of uncalled-for humour and slapstick comedy.

Tuning into the series requires you to tune out from the hectic, stressful lives that we all are a part of. Within a span of two hours, the series is able to offer us humour, insight, good dialogue and great direction. How are Amazon miniTV series always so innovative and fun to watch? We really need to get to the end of this question.

This new show just works like a charm when it comes to delivering its content with ease. There is a good balance between the moments of gravity and the moments that will make you laugh out loud.

Additionally, the actors being so seamlessly brilliant really helps. Anandeshwar Dwivedi who plays the titular character in the series is so effortless in his portrayal of Leo, that the character feels less fictional and more real. The same can be said for Deepak Kumar Mishra, Shivankit Parihar, Siddharth Bodke and Tushar Khair who play their parts well to aid the quality of the storytelling.
