Aakhri Sach Episode 6 Review: The new episode is titled Final Countdown: Sadhana. It is the last episode of the crime series directed by Robbie Grewal. The cast of the Disney+ Hotstar show includes Tamannaah Bhatia, Abhishek Banerjee, Shivin Narang, Danish Iqbal, Rahul Bagga, Kriti Vij, Sanjeev Chopra, Nishu Dikshit. The story is written by Saurav Dey. The story is based on Delhi’s Burari Deaths of 2018.

The episode begins with the Rajawat family on a road trip and Aadesh driving the car. Suddenly, Aadesh falls asleep, and the car almost gets into an accident. But Bhuvan says, “Don’t be scared, Dad is here”, and the car stops, with no one getting harmed. Later, Bhuvan informs his mother and brother, Aadesh, that he has found a boy named Aman for Anshika. With a romantic song in the background, we see Aman and Anshika spending time together and getting to know each other.
We learn that Aman had given a bank loan to the Rajawat family for business in January 2018. Bhuvan tells his family that his father is unhappy and not at peace. His father wants the family to do Anshika’s veneration. Anshika, who’s manglik, marries a tree. For the engagement, Bhuvan only wants the close relatives to be invited.
Anshika and Aman get engaged. After the engagement, the Rajawat family sits together to pray to Jawahar Singh. Bhuvan starts talking like Jawahar, who seems upset with everyone. He questions the family for celebrating much as if Anshika is not engaged but married to Aman. Jawahar is suspicious about Aman’s parents. Bhuvan tells the family that they all have to do a ritual called Akshay Sadhana.
Bhuvan explains to the family what Akshay Sadhana is. The entire family has to use ropes and stand still and look like the hanging roots of trees. He explains the entire procedure and how his father will bless them and take away all their problems. The family members share their concerns about this procedure. Other family members are worried about the kids. But Bhuvan is adamant that every family member has to participate in this ritual.
In the last 30 minutes of Aakhri Sach Episode 6, Bhuvan makes the family members stand on stools with ropes around their necks. His mother is in another room as she is too old to stand on a stool. We see how he kills all his family members together. Anya finally learns the truth about the demise of the Rajawat family. The case is solved. No outsider was responsible for their deaths. The doctor informs the cops that Bhuvan and his family have been dealing with shared psychosis for 11 years, which made them take this drastic step together.
Aakhri Sach Episode 6 Review: Discussion
The last episode of Aakhri Sach on Disney+ Hotstar answers what happened to the Rajawat family. The makers have taken a daily soap approach by overdoing the scenes featuring Bhuvan when he’s talking like his father. The execution is terrible instead of coming across as terrifying. Again, the makers divert the narrative with Anya’s plot, where she converses with her mom on call. Her mom is concerned because, like Bhuvan, even Anya has troublesome dreams.
The most ridiculous part of the show was the entire water in a bowl scene. Bhuvan tells his family that when they stand on a stool with their eyes covered and chant some mantras, the water placed in a bowl near them will turn red. If the water is red, it means Jawahar Rajawat has come to bless them and eliminate all their troubles. However, when the family chants the mantras, Bhuvan sees the water isn’t turning red. He gets upset and decides to kill everyone.
What annoyed me is in a sequence where the family members are dying, we see the water turning red and a glimpse of Rajawat looking at Bhuvan. It felt like the creators were justifying the horrific actions. They’re giving a “happy ending” to Bhuvan’s deadly delusions, which cost 11 lives, including kids who had their entire lives ahead of them. I understand the need to add some fiction for exaggeration purposes. But the bowl scene was distasteful.
Aakhri Sach Episode 6 Review: Final Thoughts
Overall, we find out what led to the Rajawat family’s death. The finale isn’t good, and the entire series has been quite disappointing. The fictional elements ruined the story, which already had many startling elements. Tamannaah Bhatia’s Anya was a dull character who often felt like a big hurdle in the storytelling. The weekly episodic release wasn’t a good idea as most episodes were shallow and told us very little. The series lacks sincerity and depth, failing to make us believe that something like this has truly happened. The overdramatic approach to the Bhuvan-Jawahar transition scenes was ridiculous.
