Griselda Teaser: Sofia Vergara Takes Charge as ‘the Godmother’ of the Underworld

Sofia Vergara will be stepping into the shoes of ‘the Godmother’ of the underworld in her upcoming American crime drama series, and Netflix has revealed the first full-fledged look at the show in the Griselda teaser. Releasing on September 21, 2023, the teaser trailer of the miniseries directed by Andrés Baiz and produced by Eric Newman and Vergara herself merely grants us a brief sneak peek into the world of crime that’ll soon be conquered by Sofia’s portrayal of the eponymous real life notorious cocaine trafficker.

The Modern Family alumni has switched lanes from her comedy roots to come back strong as an ambitious Colombian businesswoman. However, the series won’t just be focussed on the transactional aspect of the underworld and how Blanco established one of the most powerful cartels, it will also lead by example, telling us Griselda’s life story as a devoted mother. Navigating through different pages of business and family in the book called life, the show is going to shower us with the titular character’s undeniable charm atop a lethal landscape.
