Cinematic satires have a unique way of intermeshing a painful past with the modern sensibility by bridging the gap between the two through supernatural interventions, and the upcoming Netflix premiere of The Count is forever going to change the way the world views a Chilean dictator. Although this film won’t be the first time that such themes of noir comedy find their appropriate channel through a supernatural outlet, it sure is going to be a riotous chapter that many would want to tune in for.
If you’ve been a a long-time fan of the WB American series Supernatural, that ran long and hard for a good 15-season run, then you’ve probably already come across such fictional takeovers and know how the whole scheme allows the writers to critique the past associated with the monumental trauma-triggering figures, while also receiving the content in a light and easy to consume manner. The black comedy horror movie has been directed by Pablo Larrain and written by him as well alongside Guillermo Calderon, and here’s all you need to know about it!
The Count Cast
The Netflix page of the movie lists the cast members’ names as follows, Jaime Vadell, Gloria Munchmeyer, Alfredo Castro, Paula Luchsinger, Stella Gonet, Antonia Zegers, Marcial Tagle, Diego Munoz, Amparo Noguera, Catalina Guerra and Maria del Rosario Zamora.
The Count Netflix Movie Plot / Storyline
With the black-and-white vision of the film being reminiscent of Marvel’s Special Presentation of Werewolf by Night, the story also follows a similar historical theme with a fictional re-imagination of the Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet at the centre of its plot.
You may have expected Pinochet to have already bit the dust by now, but here comes the plot twist. He’s still alive and kicking. How, you ask. Get ready to get hit by an unprecedented curveball. As a 250-year-old vampire, Pinochet’s supernatural avatar is now ready to die.
After years of residing at the centre of a complicated past and life, now that he’s finally ready to renounce it all, the vultures surrounding him, aka probably his own family members, will not let him slide before he takes one last bite.

The Count / El Conde Netflix Release Date
The political satire vampire film is set to release exclusively on Netflix on September 15, 2023. It had originally premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival in August 2023, and is now receiving its OTT premiere on the streamer this week.

So n8thing really happening here, are you young like me just skip this,
I couldn watch like 30-40 minutes tottal of this , i like vampires and stuff but not this that falling asleep or i just losses my will to live, (want to push a stake trought my heart so badly),
My score: 1.3 of 5, i almost lost two houers of my life, and i falled too sleep and almost died watching this, (real death).
