The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 4 Ending Explained: The runtime of the fourth episode is over an hour. It was written by Dave Hill and directed by Sanaa Hamri. The title is ‘Daughter of the Night’. Rafe Judkins is the developer of the series. It is based on the popular high fantasy novel series of the same name by Robert Jordan with Brandon Sanderson.

The main cast of The Wheel of Time Season 2 features Rosamund Pike as Moiraine Damodred, Josha Stradowski as Rand al’Thor, Marcus Rutherford as Perrin Aybara, Madeleine Madden as Egwene al’Vere, Zoe Robins as Nynaeve al’Meara, Daniel Henney stars as Lan Mandragoran, Kate Fleetwood as Liandrin Guirale, Priyanka Bose as Alanna Mosvani, Sophie Okonedo as the Amyrlin Seat aka Siuan Sanche, Kate Alexander as Min Farshaw and Hammed Animashaun as Loial. In this season, there is a major cast change which is Mat Cauthon being played by Donal Finn instead of Barney Harris.

Some new characters are entering this universe in the second season. It includes Ceara Coveney as Elayne Trakand, Ayoola Smart as Aviendha, Meera Syal as Verin, Natasha O’Keeffe as Selene, Maja Simonsen as Chiad, Ragga Ragnars as Bain, Jay Duffy as Dain Bornhald, and Rima Te Wiata as Sheriam Bayanar.

The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 4 Ending Explained

The after effects of the last three episodes in The Wheel of Time Season 2 comes to light in this one. Starting from where Moiraine and Lan are headed next, individually to Nynaeve struggling in the White Tower and Rand’s life turning out to be more interesting than ever due to Selene.

In The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 4 ending, we see Selene and Rand having their peaceful time in the cabin. When they wake up, the two get attacked by a Fade. The threat is so intense that Rand is forced to chanel his power that ends up injuring and destroying the creature. Selene is a witness to all of this and seems terrified when she sees what happens. However, soon enough she is more accepting of the situation and Rand with his powers.

However, Selene is not what she acts to be and it is soon revealed through the contents of the poem that has been making its special appearance for a while now. The poem is a prophecy that talks about the rise of the Forsaken Lanfear aka the Daughter of the Night. This dark force of evil turns out to be none other than Selene.

Thus, while Rand and Selene engage in sex, she prepares to show her true side to him. But before it can happen, Moiraine enters the scene and ends up killing Moiraine. Although Rand is immediately hurt by the act, when explained he understands the situation. The final scene of The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 4 shows that Selene is not dead yet.
