Mathagam is all set to release on Hotstar soon and ahead of the same, fans are excited to learn everything about the show. The variety of shows offered by streaming platforms today includes stories from varied genres and languages as well and this Tamil series is expected to be yet another example of the same. This show comes after Hotstar already managed to successfully bring other Tamil content like Nayanthara’s Mookuthi Amman and Tamannaah’s November Story.

Mathagam Cast
The web series stars Atharvaa, Manikandan, Nikila Vimal and DD in lead roles. The show will have actor Manikandan in the role of an antagonist, whereas Atharvaa, who makes his web show debut, will be seen in the role of an honest police officer. The supporting cast of the show includes Gautham Vasudev Menon, Ilavarasu, Vadivukarasi, and Moonar Ramesh.
Mathagam Plot
The crime drama revolves around cops and gangsters. It follows a sincere IPS officer who goes against a crime syndicate led by an evil mastermind. The story consists of a cat-and-mouse game between the two opposing forces. The story takes place in a span of 30 hours and showcases a siege that happens overnight where the cops try to bust a crime syndicate. The first look poster of the show also made hints about the storyline and title of the show as it featured the protagonists with an elephant behind their faces, stressing the significance.
Mathagam Release Date and Trailer
Written and directed by director Prasad Murugesan, the show is all set to release on Hotstar on August 18. The film’s technical crew also includes Darbuka Siva, who composed the music. The cinematography has been done by Edwin Sakay, and the action sequences are choreographed by Dhilip Subbarayan.
The trailer of the show promises an action-packed adventure. It showcases some tense moments between the characters of Atharvaa and Manikandan as the duo has a face-off. The crisp writing also grabs attention as the impactful dialogues in the trailer further pique interest regarding the storyline.
Produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainment, the show will be released in several languages, including Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi.
