Heavenly Delusion Finale Predictions: Will Kiruko and Maru Find ‘Heaven’?

Heavenly Delusion finale episode, or Heavenly Delusion Episode 13, is approaching fast, and we cannot help but think about how the series will finally end. There are so many unanswered questions and lingering theories which need answers. A lot of foreshadowing has been consistently done since the first episode, which has easily made the anime intriguing enough to stay hooked for the long run.

Heavenly Delusion or Tengoku Daimakyo (天国大魔境) is adapted from the manga series of the same name by Masakazu Ishiguro. Produced by Avex Pictures and from Production I.G studio, the plot of the series surrounds the life of citizens post an unprecedented disaster that completely destroyed modern civilization.

Distributed by Disney platforms, the show is directed by Hirotaka Mori, and Kensuke Ushio gives the music. The new episode will have a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

Heavenly Delusion Finale Predictions

Heavenly Delusion Episode 12 has confirmed a few theories and further raised multiple new questions. Since the first episode, two different sides have been shown simultaneously – one representing an apocalyptic depiction of Earth where a functioning society does not exist anymore. Maru and Kiruko navigate through the ruins in search of a place called ‘Heaven’ and encounter a number of obstacles on the way.

On the other hand, a group of children are being raised inside a closed facility called Takahara Academy, where numerous bizarre and weird instances keep happening. Moreover, the children possess supernatural abilities.

Will the children become man-eaters/ Hiruko?

In the last episode, as the AI robots were preparing to conduct a test on the students, it mentioned that the students will have to play the role of Hiruko to reach outside the gates of the facility. That term is used for the man-eaters, and it raises the question if the students will slowly turn into monsters. Earlier, Minihime also had a vision of Kona turning into a Hiruko, so it is possible that in the final episode, we might witness their transformation. However, it can also be a slow transformation where the students turned into the creatures over time.

Have the instances in Takahara Academy happened in the past?

Another question that is raised among the fans is that if the instances currently happening inside the facility are actually the past. There are many hints that point towards it; for example, in episode 7, Maru and Kiruko encountered a man-eater that had the capability to cause hallucinations among its victims, which is very similar to the ability Ohma possesses. Additionally, they both have the same blue eyes, which further confirms the suspicions. In the next episode, it might finally be revealed that the instances have already happened in the past.

Is Maru the child?

Maru, similar to the children inside the facility, has some extraordinary abilities. His strength alone can bring down a Hiruko without any weapons, which makes us believe that he has a connection with the children inside Takahara Academy. It is possible that he is Tokio and Kona’s child. Moreover, he has similar facial features to Tokio, which further confirms the theory.

What will happen to Kiruko?

After the traumatic instance that Robin put through Kiruko, his entire worldview has shattered. The one and only person whom he trusted has betrayed him, which has led to a lot of inner turmoil inside him. Moreover, he is also confused about his identity. Stuck inside his sister’s body, he is currently conflicted not just about his gender, but it has also infiltrated his memories and thoughts, creating more confusion. In the next episode, we might see Kiruko come to terms with reality and attain peace.
