Class of 09 Episode 7 Review: Orders Night
Class of 09 Episode 7 substantially adds nothing new to the plot. As the past timeline keeps getting more interesting to help us understand the people we are dealing with in the present and future, there is a drag this show is going through and it is clear in this episode. We are almost towards the end of the show and, this episode has not moved a lot from the dealings of the last one. As in, what happened in this episode could have happened in the last one or, did happen in the last one in some capacity.
In the past timeline, the class is graduating. They are sent on their final mission- the spray test to challenge everything and make them implement everything they have learned. This is followed by the distribution of posts for the newly bloomed FBI agents. This timeline tells its tale to let us know two things we already know- a) Poet has the courage and is the first one to jump at challenges and, b) Tayo is not happy with how the system works and wants to change things as he feels like he is fighting for as well as against the system.
As we move to the present timeline, it rounds around the same old thing of Tayo trying to prove that AI is better than all. This time it is evidential which gives him satisfaction and all the yeses he needs to move ahead.

However, it is the future timeline where things get a little frustrating as we are still stuck at Tayo taking his step, making his decision and, doing whatever he is doing about the AI. Poet, Lennix and others are growing impatient and so are we. The end of the episode does not really help his case either and, him loitering around the main climax which turned out to be anti-climatic (maybe, we should warn Warren for that, right?).
Class of 09 Episode 7: Final Thoughts
What is happening? Where are we going? The show has been a little directionless since the past few episodes which is worrisome because we have only the finale left. Is this miniseries planning to not be one? Or, is it just going to end badly? Alternatively, as a viewer the thought of a bombastic finale also can creep into your mind, so don’t worry, we understand.
