The much-awaited 11th episode of Tsurune Season 2, aka Tsurune – The Linking Shot – or Tsurune: Tsunagari no Issha (ツルネ ―つながりの一射―) is here, and it has again managed to deliver a delightful watch. So without further ado, let us jump right into this review.
Tsurune Season 2 Episode 11 Overview
When the first season of this franchise dropped, we did not think it would be able to make a name for itself in the competitive sports anime market. But, it managed to set itself apart by becoming one of the very first anime that solely focuses on Kyudo, a Japanese martial art of archery.
This second season will be directed by Yamamura Takuya, who has worked on fan favourites like Koe no Katachi, Violet Evergarden, Clannad: After Story, and Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren, etc.
Tsuruoka Youta will be directing the music for this series, and we have heard his works on anime like Koe no Katachi, Violet Evergarden, Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica, Hellsing Ultimate, etc.
Kyoto Animation studios will be handling the animation, and we fans can rest assured of the quality as we have already received masterpieces like Koe no Katachi, Violet Evergarden, etc, from them.

Tsurune Season 2 Episode 11 Review and Recap – Conflict of Ideologies
The 11th episode of this beautiful anime is here, and we are back again with its review. The day of the tournament is finally here, and everyone is gearing up for one of their most important battles ever. The episode starts with Minato in his house and Seiya in his home, getting ready to move out. Not only them but everyone else is also heading towards the tournament venue after getting all the good luck wishes from friends and family.
At the venue, the boys from Tsujimine, Kirisaki, and Kazemai stay at the same hotel, promising fun yet awkward moments amongst themselves.
And talk about coincidence, as all the three strongest contenders, Tsujimine, Kirisaki, and Kazemai, even land in the same block having to compete with each other to win.
Even though Kirisaki and Kazemai have more of a friendly aura between themselves, Nikaido does not hesitate to show his true feelings to everyone. He lets them know that even though they are in the same block, his team will be the one to win the whole championship. But his volatile emotions also cause him to lash out at Hiroki, the president of Kirisaki’s team, when he tries to compliment Nikaido for leading his team without a coach.
Later, Nikaido even has a pretty heated back-and-forth with Seiya when Nikaido tries to say that Minato will someday leave Seiya behind. Seiya pulls through this conversation like a champ and even holds his ground without giving in to his instigations.
But later, when Seiya sees how Minato actually hurt himself before and has been shooting all his arrows with an injured finger, his resolve starts to weaken.
This is very apparent when the battle begins against Tsujimine. Seiya, who performs the best under pressure, falters and misses his shots. Now whether Kazemai loses or wins is something that you will have to find out yourself.
Verdict
We got another great episode from this anime where not only was the art of Kyudo showcased beautifully, but the minds of the athletes themselves were explored deeply. It is great that we see people with different values and philosophies coming together for a sport that means so much to them in diverse ways.
